The People Ask for Resignations

The Declaration of Independence states: “To secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to affect their Safety and Happiness.”

We cannot permit the current leaders in the White House and Halls of Congress to continue in their efforts to lead us down the road of Progressive Socialism. This is the current battle we Constitutionalists face and we must be aggressive in our efforts. Notice, I have eliminated the terms of liberal…conservative…left and right as they have little meaning in today’s battle for our Country. Incompetence of officials now come into play as relates to our National Security and Economy and is the rationale for resignations. The names of Holder and Napolitano ring true.

My emphasis in this article will be on Demand Resignation by the people of this country.

The oath is simple and reads:

“I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.” Sadly, we have seen them violate their oath. Fraud, lying, and corruption are rampant and some have engaged in treasonous activities, and they effectively thumb their noses at us and have sold you to the highest bidder.

The Articles of Confederation were replaced with the Constitution, which granted the federal government enough authority to cultivate, promote and secure the Blessings of Liberty. The balance of authority and individual liberty was understood. Power was confined to that which was enumerated in the Constitution with a certain and meaningful intent for check and balances.

Lincoln issued this warning in his inaugural address, “Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government and form a new one. This is a most valuable and sacred right – a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world.” Being a representative republic, not a democracy, “rising up” means other than revolution by means of arms. The people must “rise up” from the grass roots; we must think of the greater good. We are limited in the peaceful transfer of power…resignation, elections, and impeachment.

Article One, S5, CII and the 10th Amendment provides the authority but this has been trumped by a system that rewards the powerful. In 1803 each congressional district averaged 38,476 people, in 2010 it is forecast to exceed 710,000. These numbers indicate power growth, and it effectively grew 8 fold in the 20th century alone. No wonder our representatives seek to stay in office so long.

With incumbency comes power. The party in the majority assigns power, so a long-term sitting representative can expect such power. A representative expected to stay in office in the 3rd Congress for approximately 2 years now expects 12 years, or 6 terms - so much for a “citizen government.”

“Tip” O’Neill, once said: “All politics are local.” This is never truer than today when entrenched politicians, long in office, build war chests impossible to overcome. But this can be changed, through grass roots organization and discourse. We must make it a local imperative and movement….of the People…by the People… and For the People.

“We, the People” have had enough of this. They are on a socialist and treasonous death march and are bankrupting the country. We have watched them violate their sacred oath of office. “We, the People” cannot wait for the next round of elections. It is now that these public servants must put our interests above self-interest by resigning immediately. Our so-called Representatives and Senators are more interested in party loyalty than performing their duties. So, do not expect them to resign en masse or be impeached. Therefore the “people” must decide. A civil uprising is still not out of the question. They know which side of the bread their butter is on and it is not on our side. The Tea Party. Stand Up America and Saddle Up America Projects will continue to be the strength of the Constitutionalist movement.

I am confident more Resignations will be forthcoming based on the efforts of the people. The Vote in 2010 will be critical as well. This means raising your voice now to your neighbors, family, co-workers, and friends. Grass roots efforts have begun; it is now time to put that effort into over drive.

This guy was a general in the Army? For real? Is it really possible that our men and women in uniform are being led by such dunces?

I love the thing about all politics being local... and that this is somehow a bad thing! I thought the crux of the conservative/teabagger movement was to be grassroots and return power to local people and all that jazz. I know this is bunk since they are funded and organized by huge think tanks and moneyed interests, but at least they could try to be consistent in their stupid message.

I also wonder if they realize the implications of their complaining about the population of congressional districts. We could easily remedy this of course, by vastly increasing the size of Congress! Maybe we could have 870 House Members, or perhaps 1740! Yes sir, that would surely make Congress ever so efficient and shrink the power of government!

Ya see, Tea Partiers did start off mostly complaining about the deficit and concern about bailing out Wall St. Of course, they blamed all of that only & solely on Dems and assigned no accountability for it to W or the Republics.

But whatever; they had some validity to their concerns. Note here though, that Tea Partiers are being strongly urged to change their focus and start demanding the resignation of BHO... for whatever reason (doesn't really matter).

All the rightwing think tanks are doing here is DISTRACTING Tea Partiers from their original goals, which did not fit in the corporatist agenda at all. The corporations seek to expand govt where it benefits them, plus they don't really give a stuff about the deficit either.

Just be aware why nonsense like this is being spewed forth. It's to distract Tea Partiers from some of their orignal (& some justified) concerns and goals. Sadly most Tea Partiers are usually more readily brainwashed by junk like this.

The Tea Baggers originally had quite a bit of overlap with the birthers, then moved on to opposing the bank bailouts, then switched to opposing health care reform, and now are being urged to demand resignations. Of course, they are all political independents who just happen to be overwhelmingly conservative. The fact that they only started caring about the constitution and financial welfare of the country after Barack Obama was elected is coincidental.

Seriously, the most easily-directed group of people in the world. If the democrats are herding cats, the GOP is herding lemmings.

2/8/10 Enforce the 10th Amendment
“Amendment 10 The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
To reduce the national debt, the federal government must begin plans to pull back from spending federal dollars on activities that are reserved to the States, or the people. The goal of the process is to take federal spending down to match federal revenue. An acceptable level of spending for the next 4 yours would be $2.9 trillion.
Education is the first responsibility to return to the States and the school districts. Federal involvement in the 1970s heralded the beginning of the decline in public school outcomes. Schools will do well to restore math, reading and science outcomes to begin to narrow the global gap in our standardized test scores. The Department of Education should be abolished.
Health & Human Services and Labor are the next departments to begin spending reductions. It should be abolished by 2014.
Foreign aid, grants, military assistance and loans should begin spending cuts immediately.
Ban union membership for all government employees. Federal pensions should be converted to defined contribution plans. States should do this at the same time.
Formal Military operations with large forces engaged in nation building should cease. In the meantime, Special Operations, drones and air strikes should quadruple. These forces should be launched from and returned to shipboard or nearby secure bases after each operation.
Earmarks should be banned in 2010. The Mexican border should be secured. All anti-discrimination laws should be repealed. The most damaging EPA regulations should be scaled back. All bailouts and stimulus packages for all corporations should be banned. Fanny and Freddie should be phased out and closed. Student loans should be returned to the private sector. “Free speech”, “separation of church and state”, “Born” and “Life” should be redefined in the courts to reflect their original intent. “Torture” should be redefined as causing permanent physical damage.
End employment-based health insurance and allow individuals to purchase health insurance from anywhere. States will need to determine if they will continue price supports for agriculture and other spending that will need to be reduced by the federal government. Counties will determine how they will deal with healthcare for the poor. Medicare payments to providers should be emailed to members as they are paid, to self-police fraud. Tort reform is necessary and should be passed by 2012. Health insurance should be based on insuring against catastrophic major medical costs with premiums community rated. Chronic disease management should be funded through Medical Savings Accounts, not through the insurance bureaucracy. If Medicare costs don’t fall with these reforms, it should be phased out.
Social Security should be replaced by sending the 15.3% of earnings to individual IRA accounts for all citizens who have not yet earned any income. Social Security should be maintained for those who have already paid in to the system and funded by a national sales tax. All surplus funds from the national sales tax should be used to reduce the national debt. Some income tax should be paid by 80% of the population to avoid recreating a government-dependent class. Government held dollars should not be lent or donated to other countries. Restore the Bush income tax cuts. It will take $1 trillion a year in principle and interest to pay down the national debt. We will be able to reduce corporate income taxes and remove special interest tax breaks from the tax code. To restore control of our government to the people, campaign contributions will necessarily need to be restricted to registered voters in the candidates’ city district or state.

Why don't ya take YOUR Soc Sec savings and invest in Wall St???
