The right wing has a teleprompter fixation. They're like magpies with shiny objects.
I guess they object because Obama knows how to use one and Bush never figured it out.
I seem to recall that Obama trounced McCain in three debates and there were no teleprompters -- it was extemporaneous. He's been involved in numerous debates and interviews and always comes off as calm and articulate. Something Sarah Palin tried to do and repeatedly failed at in spectacular fashion.
George Orwell would recognize the teleprompter madness for what is is: 'don't believe your own eyes and ears, believe what we tell you over and over again'.
I don't like anything he has to say (with prompter or not), it's all trash.
