Fw: Now I Feel Safe

Now I feel safe.

Well, boys and girls, today we are letting the fox guard the henhouse. Tomorrow, the wolves can herd the sheep!

So many things. "Janet Nappy"?

I googled around and couldn't find anything to say that Kareem Shora is a Muslim, but I'm willing to believe he is if somebody proves it.

Meanwhile, I greatly appreciate the need for fluent speakers of Arabic in matters of national security.

About "the fox guarding the henhouse," why not turn one's attention to creationists being put in charge of ordering a state's textbooks and setting its science curriculum. The incredible stupidity of our populace is ultimately a bigger threat to our survival.

I always say that if an American is going to worry about a religion taking over, it's Chrisitianity he has to worry about.

But then, I know actual Muslims.

Spot-on, Snarla.

Not sure what the writer and the people who subscribe to this thinking want. To bar Muslims from any government jobs? Internment Camps? Mass deportations?

Or would they still be afraid?

Oh please! This is offensive on so many levels that it's hard to know where to begin. To be brief:

Like Snarla, I have many Muslim friends (and have had since the late 1960s), plus many friends from a range of Middle Eastern countries. Just bc someone is Muslim does not make them an automatic terrorist, nor are they any more likely to start being a double agent for muslim terrorism or whatever else this fucktard is implying.

I don't know, either, if these 2 men are Muslims, but contards might be surprised to learn that there are also many Christians who live in the Middle East, particularly from Syria.

I, for one, am happy to see those of middle eastern descent\ancestry (these 2 might even be 2d or 3rd or 4th gen US citizens for all we know; certainly reTHUGs won't tell the truth or do their homework) be appointed to Homeland Security. Actually, it makes a heck of a lot of sense under the circumstances.

And I agree that facist, racist, lunatic fringe Xtianity (apologies to those Xtians who are not of the rightwing fringe element; there are some real differences amongst people of faith)is becoming a much bigger security concern these days. Packing heat at a POTUS town hall? To me, that is domestic terrorism, and it is potentially much more dangerous to US citizens than the appointment of these men to Homeland security.
