Just trying to help: Handicapped parking...

Today I had to run to Whole Foods - our local hippie, tree-hugger food store.

As I approached the entrance, I noticed a driver looking for a parking space. I flagged the driver and pointed out a parking space in the handicap area.

The driver looked puzzled. ''I'm not handicapped'' she said.

Well, was my face red. ''Oh, sorry about that, I saw your Obama sticker and just presumed ...''

She gave me the finger and called me some nasty names as ignorant liberals often do when they cannot win an argument... I was only trying to help.

Congratulations, you "won" an "argument" by being a smug jerk, and she responded in kind.

Nope. Whole foods is a giant, profit maximizing corporation. Their business model does involve certain sustainability practices and organic food sourcing, but in the end they are all about the cash. Their CEO even penned an editorial that was anti-HCR. Hardly the Park Slope Co-opt.

Hippies aren't their primary demographic, yuppies are. There's a reason they call the place "Whole Paycheck".

What argument? Sounds like you just insulted her to her face. Very polite and gentlemanly, I'm sure Jesus would be proud. Asshole.

Sounds more like a Tea Party member to me.

I think it's telling that a conservative would think of a childish insult as an "argument."

Geez. Incredible.

What the prior commenters said.

Like Whole PayCheck is some kind of "liberal" hang out. Last I looked, that over-priced store is mainly located in the richy-rich neighborhoods and patronized by upper middle class types, who tend to vote Republican.

Whole PayCheck has kowtowed to Monsanto and now refuses to label foods as being GMO or not. So yeah: that's really a vast great tree-hugging liberal move there.

Beyond all that, someone says something deliberately rude to an anonymous person for absolutely no reason whatsoever, and that person flips them the bird??? So?

Ok: two wrongs may not make a "right," but who started it? And for what frickin' purpose? Other than to clearly demonstrate how rude, nasty & IMMATURE they are?? Guess they listen to a whole lot of Rush Limbaugh.

But then they feel incredibly *superior* and self-righteously condescending because the person they obnoxiously mocked for no reason responds with a rude gesture?

Wow. Typical rightwing victimizing douchebaggery.

And finally: a really tediously dull story. If this is meant to be teh funneeee: typicaly rightwing humor FAIL.

This is the original stinger at the end of the joke:

"Sheesh! Some people... and you're just trying to help them."

Not nearly as childish as:
"She gave me the finger and called me some nasty names as ignorant liberals often do when they cannot win an argument... I was only trying to help."

Some idiot thought he was improving it and only came off looking like an even bigger asshole.

Well played, dummy.

And what was a good, God-fearing patriot such as yourself doing in such a nest of liberal vipers, pray tell? Did the local big lots run out of your favorite flavor of Slim Fast?

Shorter Just Trying to Help:

I went to a store that I thought liberals shopped in just so I could be a proudly rude nasty ugly sumbitch bigot. SCORE!

I'll try a stab at another Shorter:

I yelled at someone with an Obama sticker on their car that they were retarded! That showed them who's boss!
