Subject: Fw: Second Amendment USA Today survey

This doesn't take 15 seconds to do......!

Obama's Attorney General, Eric Holder, has already said this is one of his major issues.

This survey takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time.. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.

Here's what you need to do:

First - vote on this one.

Second - launch it to other folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results get published.

The Question is:
"Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?"

Click on the link below and PLEASE vote! (I voted - YES)

Outta my cold, dead hands....

This RWF is subtitled: I'm a complete rightarded nutjob who's been totally bamboozled by corporations, esp the guns & ammo industry, into parting with my hard earned cash. DUH!

I'm not pro-gun, or a gun owner, but I want to know where is the RWF about how guns were taken away from citizens in New Orleans after Katrina? Do they not know about this, or did they just let it pass because "W was just trying to keep them safe?" They are so freaked out by fantasies of what a Dem pres might do to their gun rights, they totally ignored what really happened under Bush! I just have to wonder if these gun-lovers are really so concerned about their guns?

Truthfully, I think it was probably a good idea to take guns away from people who likely would have blown away their fellow citizens for trying to feed their families in a disaster.

Hey Anon: good point, but you are forgetting the Numero Uno Guiding Precept:

It's All OK if You're a Republican: IAOKIYAR

Please! Write this on your chalk board 150 times and don't forget it!

LOL--I've seen IAOKIYAR so many times--I really didn't know what it meant, though the principal is well known, of course.

Q: Does the First Amendment give individuals the right to freedom of expression, the press, and religion?

A: Yes.

Q: Does that mean you're allowed to shout "fire" in a crowded theater, engage in libel, and perform human sacrifice if your religion calls for it?

A: No. There are limits.

Q: Does the Fourth Amendment protect people from unlawful searches and seizure?

A: Yes.

Q: Does that mean that airlines can't search your luggage, or that property can't be repossesed by creditors?

A: No. There are limits. [And you're none to quick to complain about drug tests, I've noticed.]

Q: Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?

A: Yes.

Q: Does that mean that there can be absolutely no regulation of firearms whatsoever?

A: There's a pattern here, people. Have you spotted it yet?

How about people who are trying to defend themselves, their families and their fellow citizens from roaming mobs in a disaster? Should we take away their only effecting means of protection?

Gun control = self defense control. When seconds count, the police are only minutes (or hours) away. Should we tell a potental rape victim "You can't defend yourself so you might as well lay back and enjoy it" ? OF COURSE NOT but that is exactly what you are suggesting by disarming law abiding fellow citizens.
