We've All Talked To This Guy....

Mujibar was trying to get a job in India.

The Personnel Manager said, 'Mujibar, you have passed all the tests, except one.
Unless you pass it, you cannot qualify for this job.'

Mujibar said, 'I am ready..'

The manager said, 'Make a sentence using the words
Yellow, Pink, and Green .'

Mujibar thought for a few minutes and said,
'Mister manager, I am ready'

The manager said, 'Go ahead.'

Mujibar said, 'The telephone goes green, green ,
and I pink it up, and say, Yellow, this is Mujibar.'

Mujibar now works at a call centre.

No doubt you have spoken to him. I know I have.

Subject: Beware Of Melting Butter

Beware of Melting Butter

By Robert Ringe
When yet another politician bit the dust this week, I couldn't help but think of Henry Kissinger's all-too-true observation that "power is the ultimate aphrodisiac." I don't have a lot to say about Governor Mark Sanford's situation, except that I think the whole thing is very sad. I don't know Sanford personally, but he always came across as a sincere individual who was genuinely committed to the cause of liberty.

To his credit - unlike a number of politicians who preceded him on the Infidelity Path - Sanford did not try to deny his affair when confronted with it (though he did keep it under wraps for at least a year). He also impressed me by not humiliating his wife further by having her stand dutifully by his side at his mea culpa press conference - Ala Eliot Spitzer, Jim McGreevey, David Vitter, et al. Attention politicians with uncontrollable libidos: When you're caught, act like a man and stand before the public alon

On the negative side, had I been Governor Sanford's advisor, I would have told him not to drone on and on about his relationship with "the other woman." Apologies, yes. Details about how innocently it all began, no. I'm sure he's in a depressed and embarrassed fog right now, but from this point on, for his sake, I hope he keeps the specifics to himse

More than twenty years ago in Dallas, I recall having a related discussion with Zig Ziglar. Zig made the point that most extramarital affairs begin innocently. He said what men (and women) need to do is have the self-discipline not to get into situations where innocence has an opportunity to heat

The example he used was that of a boss who invites his secretary to lunch. Big mistake. "At some point," he said, "they reach for the butter at the same time and their hands accidentally touch." (My translation: melted but

During that same trip to Dallas, I watched Zig lecture a church full of pastors on the same subject. He advised them, "When you counsel a female member of your congregation, for goodness sakes, do it with your office door open." (My translation: Avoid melting the bu

Since then, of course, all hell has broken loose in the U.S. And we've devolved into a relativist, anything-goes society. Take a good look at what's being aired on TV these days, and you'll see what I mean. Not only have the shows become increasingly slimy, many of the commercials, are, to put it politely, sexually ex

Would anyone have imagined, even thirty years ago, that ads on television would warn, over and over again, "Call your doctor if you experience an erection lasting more than four hours"? Are you kidding me? If you experience an erection lasting more than four hours, forget your doctor and call Ripley's Believe It
or Not!

The madness of prime-time TV aside, when you get down to it, having an extramarital affair is no different than getting yourself into any other kind of trouble - embezzlement, DUI murder, obstruction of justice ... You name it. Yes, human beings are weak. It's hard to avoid temptation - hard, but certainly not impossible. Put simply: When the snake starts talking to you, don't take the shiny red apple. Walk away and get a Big Mac and fries

Having said this, I believe that all mature adults realize that good people sometimes do bad things. Which means it's wise to think about our own embarrassing missteps before joining a feeding frenzy every time we see blood in the water. As Ayn Rand said, "Judge and prepare to be judged." (Remember, Mark Sanford voted for the impeachment of cigar-trickster Bill Clinton - and offered a number of moralistic comments
to boot.)

I have no firsthand knowledge about Mark Sanford as a person, but my guess is that he is a decent human being who yielded to temptation and fell in love with another woman. You may not want to hear it, but as Ayn Rand rationally explained, it is, indeed, perfectly possible to be in love with two women - or two men - at the same time. I know that many people don't like to hear this, but common sense compels us to accept th
is reality.

Only when we acknowledge our own frailty are we able to develop a strong enough mental state to avoid getting ourselves into tempting situations in the first place. But even if you achieve an A+ in that effort, you will still have a goodly number of "sins" listed in your Book of Life when you move on to the next leg of your Eter
nal Journey.

We're all imperfect ... Which is why we all have to be vigilant when it comes to not getting ourselves into compromisin
g situations.

Fw: A Letter From An Unhappy Voter

An open letter to our nation's leadership:

I'm a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?

Well, these are briefly my views and issues for which I seek representation:

One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This isn't to be confused with legal immigration.

Two, the TARP bill, I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars, I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don't you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? Why -- what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band-Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try -- please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.

Take a breath. Listen to the people. Let's just slow down and get some input from some nonpoliticians on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I'm busy. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not. It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all of the recent spending.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on you to bring our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzword is unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we're morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. You have awakened us, the patriotic spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office. We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us when hewill rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don't care. Political parties are meaningless to us. Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you. If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it. Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming.

Fw: Grandad's Letter

Curator's note: One of the first FWD:s I put on this site when I took over from Mike was this one: http://myrightwingdad.blogspot.com/2009/02/fwd-letter-from-granddad.html. It's interesting to see how they change as they go 'round the 'round the nation. This is a new version of Granddad's letter, making the Obama supporting young woman appear less likable and Granddad, therefore, more reasonable.

John is 63 years old and owns his own business. He is a life-long
Republican and sees his dream of retiring next year is now all but

With the stock market crashing and all the new taxes coming his way,
John knows he will be working for a good number more years.

John has a Granddaughter. Ashley is a recent college grad.

She drives a late model car, wears all the latest fashions, and also likes
going out and eating out a lot.. Ashley campaigned hard for Obama, and
after he won the election she made sure her Grandfather (and all other
Republican family members) received more than an earful on how the
world is going to be a much better place now that Obama won the

Ashley recently found herself short of cash and cannot pay her bills,

As she has done many other times in the past, she e-mailed her
Grandfather asking for some financial help. Here is his reply:

"Sweetheart, I am replying to your request for more money. Ashley, you
know I love you dearly and am sympathetic to your financial plight.
Unfortunately, times have changed. With the election of President
Obama, your Grandmother and I have had to set forth a bold new
economic plan of our own....the 'Ashley Economic Plan'. Let me
explain. Your grandmother and I are highly productive, wage-earning
tax payers. As you know, we have lived a comfortable life and in
return have forgone many things like fancy vacations, luxury cars,
etc. We have worked hard and were looking forward to retiring
soon. But this plan has changed. Your president is significantly
raising our personal and business taxes.

He says it is so he can give our hard earned money to other people. Do
you know what this means, Ashley? It means less income for us. Less
income means we must cut back on many business and personal

One example is, we were forced to let go of our receptionist today.
You know her. She always gave you candy when you visited my office.
Did you know she worked for us for the past 18 years? I can't afford
her anymore.

That is a taste of the business side. Some personal economic affects of
Obama's new taxation policies include none other than you.

You know very well that over the years your grandmother and I have
given you thousands of dollars in cash, tuition assistance, food,
housing, clothing, gifts, etc., etc. By your vote, you have chosen
another family over ours for help. Judging from your Email requesting
more money, I recommend you call 202-456-1111. That is the direct
telephone number for the White House. You yourself repeatedly told me
I was foolish to vote Republican. You said Mr. Obama is going to be
the people's president and is going to help every American live a better life.

Based upon everything you have told me and things we heard from him as
he campaigned, I am sure Mr. Obama will be happy to send a check or transfer money into your checking account.

Have him call me for the transaction and account numbers, which by now
I know by heart.

Perhaps you now can understand what I have been saying for all my
life: those who vote for the president should consider what the impact
of an election will be on the nation as a whole, and not just be
concerned with what they can get for themselves (welfare, etc.). What
Obama voters don't seem to realize is all of the "government's" money
he is 'redistributing' to illegal aliens and non-taxpaying Americans
(deemed "less fortunate") comes from tax money collected from income
tax-paying families. Remember how you told me, "Only the richest of
the rich will be affected"? Guess what, honey? Because of our business, your Grandmother and I are now considered to be the richest of the rich. On paper, it might look that way. But in the real world, we are far from it.

But, as you said while campaigning for Obama, some people will have to
carry more of the burden so all of America can prosper. You understand
what that means, right? It means that raising taxes on productive
people results in them having less money. Less money for everything,
including granddaughters.

Congratulations on your choice for "change". For future reference, I
encourage you to attempt to add up the total value of the gifts and
money you've received from us over the years, and compare it to what
you expect to get over the next four years from Mr. Obama.

Remember, we love you dearly... but from now on you'll need to call
the number referenced above when you need help.

Good luck, sweetheart.
Love, Grampa

Fw: Heaven....

Al Gore, Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama go to heaven,
God addresses Al first. ''Al, what do you believe in?''
Al replies: "Well, I believe that I won that election, but
that it was your will that I did not serve.
And I've come to understand that now.''

God thinks for a second and says:
"Very good. Come and sit at my left.''

God then addresses Bill. "Bill, what do you believe in?''
Bill replies: "I believe in forgiveness.
I've sinned, but I've never held a grudge against my fellow
man, and I hope no grudges are held against me.'' ;
God thinks for a second and says: "You are forgiven, my son.
Come and sit at my right.''

Then God addresses Barack. "Barack, what do you believe in?''
He replies: "I believe you're in my chair."

Fw: Fw: Joe Legal vs. Jose Illegal...

Does this make sense to you? Remember it when elections roll around in Nov.

Here is an example of why hiring illegal aliens is not economically
productive for the State of California (and many other states)...

You have 2 families..."Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal". Both families have 2
parents, 2 children and live in California.

"Joe Legal" works in construction, has a Social Security Number, and makes
$25.00 per hour with payroll taxes deducted....

"Jose Illegal" also works in construction, has "NO" Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

Joe Legal...$25.00 per hour x 40 hours $1000.00 per week, $52,000 per year
Now take 30% away for state federal tax Joe Legal now has $31,231.00

Jose Illegal...$15.00 per hour x 40 hours $600.00 per week, $31,200.00 per year
Jose Illegal pays no taxes... Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00

Joe Legal pays Medical and Dental Insurance with limited coverage $1000.00 per month
$12,000.00 per year Joe Legal now has $19,231.00

Jose Illegal has full Medical and Dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00

Joe Legal makes too much money is not eligible for Food Stamps or welfare
Joe Legal pays for food $1,000.00 per month $12,000.00 per year Joe Legal now has
$ 7,231.00

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for Food Stamps and Welfare
Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,000.00 per month 12,000.00 per year
Joe Legal is now in the hole... minus (-) $4,769.00

Jose Illegal receives a $500 per month Federal rent subsidy Jose Illegal pays rent
$500.00 per month $6,000.00 per year Jose Illegal still has $25,200.00

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.

Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children's lunches while Jose Illegal's children get a government sponsored lunch.

Jose Illegal's children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal's
children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same Police and Fire Services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

Don't vote/support any politician that supports illegal aliens...
Its PAST time to take a stand for America and Americans!=============

On Wed, 17 Jun 2009 13:21:22 -0400, Donald Dorfman Colonel USAF ret forwarded
statements from Colonel Bud Day USAF ret MOH regarding his torture by the North
Vietnamese while a POW (Prisoner of War)

Colonel Dorfman is an attorney, former USAF JAG, and practices criminal law in
Sacramento, CA

The prelude to the "response" below, from Colonel Bud Day, Medal of Honor
recipient - prisoner of war survivor - reads
"I didn't expect to be reminded of my treatment some 36 years ago on this
holiday weekend but our politicians find it worthy to ignore what some have
tried to recount to them, who have actually been there.."

I got shot down over N Vietnam in 1967...a sq commander.

After I returned in 1973... I published 2 books that dealt a lot with "real
torture" in Hanoi . Our make believe president is branding our country as a
bunch of torturers when he has no idea what torture is.

As for me. Put thru a mock execution because I would not respond...pistol
whipped on the head...same event... Couple of days later...hung by my feet all
day. I escaped and got recaptured a couple of weeks later... I got shot and
recaptured. Being shot was OK...what happened after was not.

They marched me to Vinh... put me in the rope trick. lt almost pulled my arms
out of the sockets. Beat me on the head with a little wooden rod until my eyes
were swelled shut, and my unshot, unbroken hand a pulp.

Next day hung me by the arms...rebroke my right wrist...wiped out the nerves in
my arms that control the hands. Rolled my fingers up into a ball. Only left the
slightest movement of my L forefinger. So I started answering with some
incredible lies.

Sent me to Hanoi strapped to a barrel of gas in the back of a truck.

Hanoi ...on my knees. Rope trick again. Beaten by a big fool.

Into leg irons on a bed in Heartbreak Hotel.

Much kneeling--hands up at Zoo.

Really bad beating for refusing to condemn Lyndon Johnson.

Several more kneeling events. I could see my knee bone thru kneeling holes.

There was an escape from the annex to the Zoo. I was the Senior Officer of a
large building because of escape. They started a mass torture of all commanders.

I think it was July 7, 1969...they started beating me with a car fan belt. In
first 2 days I took over 300 strokes. Then stopped counting because I never
thought I would live thru it.

They continued day-nite torture to get me to confess to a non-existent part in
the escape. This went on for at least 3 days. On my knees. Fan belting.... cut
open my scrotum with fan belt stroke. Opened up both knee holes again. My fanny
looked like hamburger. I could not lie on my back.

They tortured me into admitting that I was in on the escape and that my 2
room-mates knew about it.

The next day I denied the lie.

They commenced torturing me again with 3- 6- or 9 strokes of the fan belt every
day from about July 11 or 12rh...to 14 October 1969. I continued to refuse to
lie about my roommates again.

Now, the point of this is that our make-believe president has declared to the
world that we ( U.S. ) are a bunch of torturers... Thus it will be OK to torture
us next time when they catch us....because that is what the U.S. does.

Our make-believe president is a know nothing fool who thinks that pouring a
little water on some one's face, or hanging a pair of womens pants over an Arabs
head is TORTURE. He is a meathead.

I just talked to MOH holder Leo Thorsness who was also in my sq in jail.... as
was John McCain ... and we agree that McCain does not speak for the POW group
when he claims that Al Gharib was torture... or that "water boarding" is

Our president and those fools around him who keep bad mouthing our great country
are a disgrace to the United States . Please pass this info on to Sean Hannity.
He is free to use it to point out the stupidity of the claims that water
boarding ...which has no after effect... is torture. If it got the Arab to cough
up the story about how he planned the attack on the twin towers in NYC ....
hurrah for the guy who poured the water.

FWD: The big Lie

About 45 million Americans lack health care insurance. Or do they?
A pro-"universal health care" television host recently cited this widely accepted "fact." The number is bogus.
Here's the skinny.
Start with the math. We have 300 million Americans. Subtract the 45 million -- 15 percent of us -- with no health insurance. That leaves 255 million Americans, or 85 percent, with it.
And the insurance is lousy, right? Not according to a 2006 ABC News/Kaiser Family Foundation/USA Today survey. It found that 89 percent of Americans were satisfied with the quality of their own health care.
Nearly half of the 45 million fall in the category of my 26-year-old nephew. He smokes cigarettes, dates, eats out, goes to movies and, like all young people, lives through his cell phone. With a slight change in priorities, he could afford health insurance, the cost of which at his age and health starts at about $100 a month. Take a look at a Reason Foundation video of interviews with a bunch of non-health-insured 20-somethings.
These Gen Xers copped to dropping money on clothes, booze, nightlife, the latest tech gizmos and other things of interest to them. With a change in priorities, these young folks -- far more representative of those without insurance than the forlorn husband and wife sitting on a porch swing -- could both afford and qualify for health insurance. They simply consider it a low priority.
Millions more can access health care -- through SCHIP (State Children's Health Insurance Program), Medicaid or other government programs. But for whatever reason, 11 million people simply refuse to take advantage of them.
Several million other Americans who want insurance do, indeed, go without it -- for a time. Many are, however, between jobs, and most -- at some point -- will find employment that either offers health insurance or pays enough so that they can buy it. Millions more work at companies that offer health insurance, and for a few dollars out of every paycheck, they could add family members. They choose not to.
What about criminals without insurance? More than 2 million Americans -- with access to health care, by the way -- use jail, prison or penitentiary mailing addresses. And for every one behind bars, how many live among us who survive by theft, drug dealing, prostitution or some similar career path? Taxpayer health insurance for them, too?
So now we're down to the Americans without health insurance on a persistent, long-term basis. This is approximately 10-15 million, a big number to be sure. But does this warrant a government takeover of the entire health care system?
Lacking health care insurance is not the same as lacking health care . By law, most emergency rooms must provide health care -- to both legals and illegals. Yes, they stand in line, but no health insurance does not equal no health care.
Government (aka taxpayers) already pays half of our health care dollar, with programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP and other federal and state plans. The stated goals are accessibility and affordability. Congress passed Medicare in 1965. In the 20 years before the program's inception, the cost of a day in a hospital increased threefold. In the 20 years following Medicare, a day in a hospital increased eightfold -- substantially higher than inflation over that period. Because of cost controls on government plans, providers increased the cost on everybody else.
So here's the question.
Do we allow a complete government takeover of the section of health care it doesn't already run, for 10-15 million or so without health insurance on a persistent basis? Again, 255 million Americans already have it. Many millions more could get it if they wanted to. And 89 percent of Americans are satisfied with the care they now receive.
What to do? Unleash the free market. Allow greater competition among health care providers. Decrease costly regulations that increase the price tag. Enable consumers to purchase insurance plans across state lines. Allow non-government-licensed paraprofessionals and others -- currently prevented by law from offering any medical services -- to provide low-cost care.
What about poor care and negligence? We have laws against force and fraud, as well as a common-law duty of care. That's why God created lawyers. (Just give us "loser pays.")
What about those who cannot afford it? What about those with pre-existing illnesses whose insurance applications carriers turned down? What's wrong with charity -- people helping people? America remains the most generous nation on the face of the earth. We donate more of our time and money than countries like England, Germany and Japan. During the Great Depression, before the New Deal, charitable giving skyrocketed. After the New Deal, charitable giving continued, but not at nearly the same rate. People expected government to address the problem, and taxpayers felt they gave at the office.
We can provide such "universal" coverage at a "low cost" -- through rationing. That means long lines, lower quality and less innovation for services that Americans currently take for granted.
Economists call it T.A.N.S.T.A.A.F.L. There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

Fwd: World's Greatest Liar

Pinocchio, Snow White and Superman are out for a stroll in town one day. As they walked, they come across a sign that read: "Beauty contest for the most beautiful woman in the world."

"I am entering!" said Snow White.

After half an hour she comes out and they ask her, "Well, how'd ya do?"

"First Place!", said Snow White.

They continue walking and they see a sign: "Contest for the strongest man in the world."

"I'm entering," says Superman.

After half an hour, he returns and they ask him, "How did you make out?"

"First Place!", answers Superman. "Did you ever doubt?"

They continue walking when they see a sign: "Contest! Who is the greatest liar in the world?"

Pinocchio enters.

After half an hour he returns with tears in his eyes.

"What happened?", they asked.

"Who the hell is this Nancy Pelosi?", asked Pinocchio.

You will love the info at this link below.

Before reading- I just need to clarify something. I once had a friend explain that hate was found both on the far left and the far right. I asked where was hate on the far right. This friend, used the white supremecy groups as an example of the far right.

Since when? I would never consider neo-nazis to be conservative. They are certainly extremists- but they have nothing to do with "right wing," or conservatism. Folks like Timothy McVey and the dude who hid in the woods for months after bombing abortin clinics and gay bars are STRONGLY SHUNNED by conservatives. We conservatives support fully that these people, and those like them, get the strongest justice possible.

If you read the part at the link below from page 2 you will see that those who support State Authority over Federal Authority are actually profiled as right wing extremists by the DHS. So those who have read and support our US Constitution, one of our founding documents and the LAW OF THE LAND are now targeted by our own government.

Racism is hate, hate is hate. Conservatism is nothing but pure love. Love of Country, Love of Life and Liberty. There is nothing more loving than wanting everyone to be filled with self reliance and self dignity, with freedom and liberty. Taking freedom and liberty is born of hate and disdain for your fellow man.

Fwd: Worth thinking about.....

Be forewarned on what is happening .

A friend went to hear Charles Krauthammer. He listened with 25 others in a closed room. What he says here, is NOT 2nd-hand but 1st. You would do well to read and pass this along to EVERYBODY that loves his country. This is VERY serious for the direction of our country. The ramifications are staggering for us & our children.

To my Friends & Associates:
Last Monday was a profound evening, hearing Dr. Charles Krauthammer speak to the Center for the American Experiment. He is brilliant intellectual, seasoned & articulate. He is forthright and careful in his analysis, and never resorts to em otions or personal insults. He is NOT a fear monger nor an extremist in his comments and views. He is a fiscal conservative, and has a Pulitzer prize for writing.
He writes weekly for the Washington Post. The entire room was held spellbound during his talk. I have shared this with many of you and several have asked me to summarize his comments, as we are living in uncharted waters economically and internationally. Even 2 Dems at my table agreed with everything he said! If you feel like forwarding this to those who are open minded and have not drunk the Kool-Aid’, feel free.

Here is his resume from Wikipedia:

A summary of his comments:

1. Mr. Obama is a very intellectual, charming individual. He is not to be underestimated. He is a ‘cool customer’ who doesn't show his emotions. It's very hard to know what's ‘behind the mask’. Taking down the Clinton=2 0dynasty from a political neophyte was an amazing accomplishment. The Clintons still do not understand what hit them. Obama was in the perfect place at the perfect time.

2. Obama has political skills comparable to Reagan and Clinton. He has a way of making you think he's on your side, agreeing with your position, while doing the opposite. Pay no attention to what he SAYS; rather, watch what he DOES!

3. Obama has a ruthless quest for power. He did not come to Washington to make something out of himself, but rather to change everything, including dismantling capitalism. He can’t be straightforward on his ambitions, as the public would not go along. He has a heavy hand, and wants to ‘level the playing field’ with income redistribution and punishment to the achievers of society. He would like to model the USA to Great Britain or Canada.

4. His three main goals are to control ENERGY, PUBLIC EDUCATION, & NATIONAL HEALTHCARE by the Federal government. He doesn't care about the auto or financial services industries, but got them as an early bonus. The cap and trade will add costs to everything and stifle growth. Paying for FREE college education is his goal. Most scary is his healthcare program, because if you make it FREE and add 46,000,000 people to a Medicare-type single-payer system, the costs will go through the roof. The only way=2 0to control costs is with massive RATIONING of services, like in Canada. God forbid.

5. He’s surrounded himself with mostly far-left academic types. No one around him has ever even run a candy store. But they’re going to try and run the auto, financial, banking and other industries. This obviously can’t work in the long run. Obama’s not a socialist; rather he's a far-left secular progressive bent on nothing short of revolution. He ran as a moderate, but will govern from the hard left. Again, watch what he does, not what he says.

6. Obama doesn’t really see himself as President of the United States, but more as a ruler over the world. He sees himself above it all, trying to orchestrate & coordinate various countries and their agendas. He sees moral equivalency in all cultures. His apology tour in Germany and England was a prime example of how he sees America, as an imperialist nation that has been arrogant, rather than a great noble nation that has at times made errors. This is the first President ever who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies!

7. He’s now handing out goodies. He hopes that the bill (and pain) will not ‘come due’ until after he’s reelected in 2012. He’d like to blame all problems on Bush from the past, and hopefully his successor in the future. He has a huge ego, and Mr. Krauthammer believes he is a narcissist.

8. Republicans are in the wilderness for a while, but will emerge strong. We’re ‘pining’ for another Reagan, but there’ll never be another like him. Krauthammer believes Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty & Bobby Jindahl (except for his terrible speech in February) are the future of the party. Newt Gingrich is brilliant, but has baggage. Sarah Palin is sincere and intelligent, but needs to really be seriously boning up on facts and info if she’s to be a serious candidate in the future. We need to return to the party of lower taxes, smaller government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and states’ rights.

9. The current level of spending is irresponsible and outrageous. We’re spending trillions that we don’t have. This could lead to hyper inflation, depression or worse. No country has ever spent themselves into prosperity. The media is giving Obama, Reid and Pelosi a pass because they love their agenda. But eventually the bill will come due and people will realize the huge bailouts didn’t work, nor will the stimulus package. These were trillion-dollar payoffs to Obama’s allies, unions and the Congress to placate the left, so he can get support for #4 above.

10. The election was over in mid-September when Lehman brothers failed. fear and panic swept in, we had an unpopular President, and the war was grinding on indefinitely without a clear outcom e. The people are in pain, and the mantra of ‘change’ caused people to act emotionally. Any Dem would have won this election; it was surprising is was as close as it was.

11. In 2012, if the unemployment rate is over 10%, Republicans will be swept back into power. If it's under 8%, the Dems continue to roll. If it's between 8-10%, it’ll be a dogfight. It’ll all be about the economy.

I hope this gets you really thinking about what's happening in Washington and Congress. There’s a left-wing revolution going on, according to Krauthammer, and he encourages us to keep the faith and join the loyal resistance. The work will be hard, but we’re right on most issues and can reclaim our country, before it's far too late.

No--he was just a very wise and educated man.

IT HAS BEEN said the greatest volume of sheer brainpower in one place occurred when Jefferson dined alone...

Especially read the last quote from 1802.
When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe,
we shall become as corrupt as Europe.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the

Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered..'

Successful corporate executives everywhere recognize him as the foremost leader in change management. Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

Subject: Fw: Please read this........you'll be glad you did.......I am
going to do it

I don't know about everyone else, but I am going to do this. I do it
partly now, but I will look at everything from now on and CHOOSE

Are we Americans as dumb as we appear --- or --- is it that we just do
not think? While the Chinese, knowingly and intentionally, export
inferior and even toxic products and dangerous toys and goods to be
sold in American markets, the media wrings its hands and criticizes
the ex-Bush Administration for perceived errors.

Yet 70% of Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to
the Chinese should be suspended..

Well, duh... why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges?

Simply look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says
'Made in China ' or 'PRC' (and that now includes Hong Kong ), simply
choose another product , or none at all. You will be amazed at how
dependent you are on Chinese products, and you will be equally amazed
at what you can do without.

Who needs plastic eggs to celebrate Easter? If you must have eggs, use
real ones and benefit some American farmer.. Easter is just an
example, the point is do not wait for the government to act. Just go
ahead and assume control on your own.

THINK ABOUT THIS: If 200 million Americans refuse to buy just $20
each of Chinese goods, that's a billion dollar trade imbalance
resolved in our favor.....fast!!

The downside? Some American businesses will feel a temporary pinch
from having foreign stockpiles of inventory. Wahhhhhhhhhhhh !!!

The solution? Let's give them fair warning and send our own message.
Most of the people who have been reading about this matter are
planning on implementing this on June
4, and continue it until July 4. That is only one month of trading
losses, but it will hit the Chinese for 1/12th of the total, or 8%, of
their American exports. Then they will at least have to ask themselves
if the benefits of their arrogance and lawlessness were worth it.

Remember, June 4 to July 4.

Send this to everybody = 20 you know. Let's show them that we are
Americans and NOBODY can take us for granted.

If we can't live without cheap Chinese goods for one month out of our

Pass it on, America ,PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friendship is a promise of future loyalty, loyalty no matter what
comes. Promises are the bricks of life and trust is the mortar.
