Interesting especially if you add Bill Clinton!

The 1960’s hippies, protesters, and draft dodgers are running the country now!

                    Obama     - -          Kerry    - -                       Holder

Doesn't it just give you a warm and fuzzy feeling all over too?

PASS IT ON...

Top 3 Offices? Not according to the Constitution. You know, that thing wingnuts claim to love so much.

Obama is a 1960's hippie? He was born in 61, so he was all of 9 when the 60's ended. Holder graduated high school in 69, so he didn't have much time to be a hippie either. And who among these guys are draft dodgers? Kerry VOLUNTEERED to go to Vietnam. Obama was too young for the draft. Holder was technically draft age but was in college and law school at the time, so its possible he got a deferment, just like so many others including Cheney, Gingrich and Limbaugh.

RWD just can't admit that the hippies were right and Vietnam was a mistake.

This confirms what I've always suspected; the people wanting to keep fighting in the Middle East are really just STILL fighting Vietnam.
They think if we can keep the war going forever, it will justify their belief that we could have won Vietnam if we'd only stuck it out for another decade or two.
And they're perfectly happy to let as many of our kids die as necessary to prove they were right half a century ago. Kids who legitimately don't know anything about South East Asia or why they should care.

The President is the first man since the war to have no part to play in Vietnam. I thought this discussion of America's worst foreign policy decision in it's history would , at long last, be lain to rest. I hoped this blood soaked chapter of American could be closed and left to the scholars and historians. I hoped Vietnam would finally, finally, start being history and stop being news.

But it won't die.
It's too bad so many of my friends had to.

Great comments.

Jesus, IF ONLY the 1960's counterculture were actually running the country. We'd all be a hell of a lot better off than we are now.

1. Obama was born too late to be a hippie or part of the 60s/70s counterculture. There was no draft when he came of age, so he didn't dodge it like Dick Cheney, Karl Rove & Rush Limbaugh did. Obama has openly admitted trying drugs when young, as many many people have. I'm no fan of Obama, but lying about him is just a means of distracting ignorant people about what the real issues are facing our country.

2. John Kerry did volunteer for Military service (Navy?) & served honorably in Viet Nam & was awarded a Purple Heart. Hypocritical rightwingers - you know: the "Support the Troops" except when they're not conservatives - constantly have dissed his service record & worse. Rightwingers are never satisfied unless they are running down anyone who doesn't share their viewpoints, no matter what service they've done for their country. Kerry did protest the Viet Nam war, as was his right to do so, and he did it within the system, which we hippies were told to do. But that's not good enough for conservatives. All conservatives want to do is feel morally superior while vetching and whining. I don't like Kerry, myself, and think he sucks as SoS, but I don't see this rightwing think tank commenting about Kerry's work performance NOW. Who cares what Kerry did when young; how about NOW? Oh right. Kerry's in the pay of AIPAC, so RWD is all down with that. Bogus.

3. Eric Holder can legitimately be considered of hippie age. I cannot find real confirmation as to whether he participated in the so-called ROTC "riot" at Columbia. Even if he did, so what? Firstly, ancient history, and secondly, Tea Tardz should support *everyone's* right to protest the government. Oh yeah: hypocritical rightwingers only support those who agree with their narrowminded viewpoints. Once again, why focus on ancient history? I don't like Holder, myself, but I'm concerned with his job performance NOW. Why hasn't Holder gone after the "too big to fail" banks & hedge funds who crashed the economy? Why is RWD not focusing on THAT??

More stupid distractions for the dull-witted who are easily riled up over nothing.

Simpleminded twaddle for the simpleminded.

Hippie Punching is so Last Century (or should be).

RWD loves to rile up all the old fogey perpetually pissed off white men to whine about their adult children (who are now grandparents, themselves) who protested Viet Nam. For most kids in school today, Viet Nam is like what WWI was to baby boomers: ancient history.

Time for RWD to move on and focus on more current events. What's that you say? That might be too mentally challenging for RWD? Appears to be the case.
