Yup. Republicans drive up the debt, blame Democrats when the Dems hold the White House, and use it as a weapon to dismantle social programs of proven value.
Because said programs help people besides white anglo-saxon protestants.
Too bad the Democrats are too fucking chickenshit/complicit to fight back.
Be nice to have some actual liberals representing the rest of us for a change.
Yes, gruaud, that sure would be nice. The last true liberal who really represented the "average citizen" was perhaps Ted Kennedy, as flawed as he was. I wasn't a huge Kennedy fan, but he definitely put forth legislation that benefited the "small people."
these days? I don't see *anyone* who falls in that camp, including Dennis Kucinich & Bernie Sanders, alas.
