To Obama, Al-Qaeda is a Pesky Distraction from his Radical Agenda

By: Katharine DeBrecht, www.radicalsruiningmycountry.com

At the Congressional Black Caucus Democratic debate on January 21, 2008, then candidate Obama stated “We are seeing Al-Qaeda stronger now than any time since 2001. That is a significant threat that has to be dealt with. Because we have been distracted, we have ended up seeing a more dangerous situation.”

If Obama honestly believed that was the case, why has this Administration focused so little on terrorist threats?

Following the attempted bombing of Northwest flight 253, Senator Jim DeMint called Obama “distracted” saying his Administration was “not focused on building the security and intelligence apparatus of our country.”

Thomas Kean, former 9/11 Commission chair stated “We had an administration which was not focused, as it should be, on terrorism and that’s understandable.” Kean went on, “They were focused on health care and global warming and the economy. That’s very understandable.”

I do not believe Obama has been distracted by his overzealous, socialist agenda; he merely views Al-Qaeda as a pesky distraction from ramming it through.

As Americans were reeling from the carnage at the Fort Hood massacre, the first terror attack on U.S. soil since 9/11, Obama delivered a tepid response only after two minutes of a shout out and the need to pass healthcare reform.

After the Christmas Day failed attack on Northwest flight 253, the President, who normally cannot seem to get enough TV time, waited 3 days (much longer than the few minutes Bush read My Pet Goat on 9/11) before showing up to address the American people in between golf games. The tieless Vacationer-in-Chief went on to describe how the bomber “allegedly” attempted to kill more than 300 people, flippantly dubbing him an “isolated extremist.”

I would much rather have had Obama or members of his Administration address terrorists with something like this:

“Don’t think we’re not keeping score”

“We’ll call you out”

“My Administration is the only thing that stands between you and the pitchforks.”

Or to the American people:

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun”

“If you get hit, we’ll punch back twice as hard”

You know, the kind of cowboy rhetoric used by President Bush who managed to keep us safe for seven years.

Oh wait, Obama and his Administration officials did say these things – except not to Islamic extremists – Obama’s America is now a kinder, gentler nation towards beheaders, homicide bombers and the like. No, Obama and members of his Administration said these things in regards to Americans who opposed his radical policies. Makes you wonder, who is the bigger enemy in Obama’s mind?

I thought Obama was BFFs with Osama and Al Queda and secretly wanted them to win?

And again with the 3 day thing? Earth to wingnuts:

W, Richard Reid, 6 days.
W, Richard Reid, 6 days.
W, Richard Reid, 6 days.

It was the EXACT same terrorism attempt, and Bush took twice as long to address it. Not that it should even matter in either case because we know that both Presidents were actually working on the problem, but if the only measure of being tough on terror is having a press conference then W is mathematically twice as bad as Obama.

Jim DeMint can go screw himself. Perhaps if he's so worried about the administration fighting terror he could help out a bit by releasing the President's nominee for TSA chief, a hold he has had for over a year now. Hypocrite.

A rightwing distraction for wingnuts, so that they don't see or get that they are being royally screwed by the banks and corporations. Wingnuts are easily distracted by the war on terra.

And agree re DeMint, Chief Hypocrite in this case, who stalled the TSA Chief appointment for over a year. But wingnuts will never question the stupidity of that. They totally buy into the kabuki show of Republic obstructionism at all costs.

Ruining our country one hypocrital distraction at a time.

PS Written by a rightwing think tank to distract idiotic conservatards everywhere.

You can tell she writes children's books for a living.

Yes, I am SO very glad that Bush kept us safe with his "cowboy rhetoric", after that horrible WTC bombing that took place under Clinton! If only Bush had been president in 2001, 9/11 would never have happened!

How's the Twiligh Zone working out for you people?

Remember when the reactionary pundits pitched
a shitfit when Obama vacationed in Hawaii?
(I'm looking at YOU, Cokie Roberts)

So this year's RNC winter meeting is being held
in, you guessed it, Hawaii.

As usual, any time a conservative opens his or
her mouth, expect lies, double standards, and
hypocrisy. It never, ever fails.

I'd laugh but these weasels are determined to
destroy the country.

Thanks, Gruaud... we are on the same page (webpage?) once again. I saw that photo of Michael Steele in Hawaii (Hawaiian shirt + lei, no less) stating how it was "all business" only. Please pull the other one.

And yes, Cokie Roberts in the summer of 2008 on NPR: Barack Obama & his family are going on vacation to Hawaii, which is quite EXOTIC.

What's sauce for the goose is not sauce for the gander.

Distractions, lies, hypocracy, outright stupidity, inaninity, ridiculousness... unending.

Obama as the vacationer-in-chief? My god man, Bush was away from the White House on non work-related trips for a staggering 35% of his presidency!

Tootseye said...

Yes, Marc, but Bush only went to the Texas ranch to clear brush. That was ok, no matter how many days/weeks/months/years he had off.

BHO went to EXOTIC Hawaii, which is practically a FOREIGN country (except when Republicans go there; then it goes back to being safe, and a US state again). Even though BHO was raised in Hawaii (and Bush was NOT from TX, nor was he raised there, but that's another fairy tale), it is clearly outrageous that BHO, as a total LIBERAL (which he's not; he's a neo-liberal), would contemplate visiting the EXOTIC & nearly FOREIGN state of Hawaii for any reason whatsover, including to attend his grandmother's (aka the white one) funeral.

Got it??? PLEASE PAY ATTENTION!! Conservatard minds need to have a clear picture of how this works.

Meanwhile two white American terrorists were in the news yesterday. Somehow that rolls off everybody's back. "'White guys' you say? Oh, boys will be boys."

I'm more than confident that Obama and his team are approximately one thousand times more capable of dealing with al-Qaeda than the Bush team was.

I've been to Hawaii many times (mostly on business). It's hardly exotic. Clearly America, only warmer.

And again with the "my" country

It's our country, you confederate
wannabe. You want "your" country
back, by all means secede.

Obama has a radical agenda?

Is he waiting until after the health care bill to show it to us?

"You know, the kind of cowboy

Twin Towers

Anthrax Attack

DC Snipers

Grenade Attack on UK embassy in NYC

Shoe Bomber

Virginia Tech Massacre

Ohio Sniper

Knoxville Church Massacre

Repeated attacks by right wing loonies at women's clinics all
over the country

...you vapid, lying nincompoop.

Yes, the cowboy rhetoric that Bush used to keep us safe for SEVEN years. That first year? Well, you can't blame him for THAT; his cowboy rhetoric was no match for the held-over devastating effect of Clinton's namby pamby appeasement and wussiness.

And yes, this is the "democrats are under my bed" series author. I think she's gotten progressively unhinged.
