FWD: OBAMANATION

Subject: OBAMANATION

Obama Strikes Again"

"I wanted to give you all some disturbing
information on our wonderful president. I work with the
Catch-A-Dream Foundation which provides hunting and fishing
trips to children with life-threatening illnesses. This past
weekend we had our annual banquet / fundraiser event in
Starkville .

"As a part of our program, we had scheduled Sgt.
1st Class Greg Stube, a highly decorated U.S. Army Green
Beret and inspirational speaker who was severely injured
while deployed overseas and didn't have much of a chance for
survival to come. Greg is stationed at Ft. Bragg , NC and
received permission from his commanding officer to come
speak at our function.

Everything was on go until Obama made a policy
that NO U.S. SERVICEMAN CAN SPEAK AT ANY FAITH-BASED PUBLIC
EVENTS ANYMORE. Needless to say, Greg had to cancel his
speaking event with us. Didn't know if anyone else was aware
of this new policy. Wonder what kind of news we all will
receive next. You're just starting to see the Obamanation.

Your religion is on the list next. I don't know
about you, but this makes me furious. What a rotten thing
to do by the "commander-in-chief". And I'm afraid we ain't
seen nothin' yet.

Retired Vice Admiral Bob Scarborough, of
Arlington , Va.

Thanks for the link to snopes. I have to wonder if this was a kind of fund-raising effort by this charity. I mean I had never heard of Catch-A-Dream, which seems to be the right-wings answer to Make-a-Wish. And which seems more of a hunting/fishing charity, than a religious outfit. But the right wing seems ever needful of having their own separate organizations for everything. Its like they are declaring themselves a minority.

Bebe: it's not "like" rightwingers are declaring themselves a minority: they have done so. They do so in an effort to frighten (fear being a very powerful manipulative tool) their "members" (so to speak) into believing that they are being "attacked" (aka the ersatz war on Xmas, etc) and/or victimized in various ways. It's all a means to make them feel part of the group that's being persecuted by teh eeevul libruls.

It's a successful tool, even if they depend almost entirely on lies and obfuscation. Here we can all see how firmly rightwingers cling to the lies they are fed by the rightwing media machine, and no amount of facts can dissuade them. For ex, they use snopes when it serves their needs - and usually quoting something out of context from snopes - and then ignore it when snopes disproves the lie they are telling with cold, hard facts.

That's the way it is. Lies, bullshit and nonsense, but wingers wish to wrap themselves in a mantle of victimhood and feel that teh eeeevul libruls are somehow out to get them (boooga booga) and ruin their lives & this country. Distracts them from how it's mostly the corporations who are ruining this country and screwing up everyone's lives.

The richies win, and the rest of lose.

Am I the only one who thinks killing things might not be the most constructive activity to do with kids who might die?

This one is making the rounds again.. My sister and her 'wonderful' husband just blindly sent it to me via email. No good deed goes unpunished.. They always get extra offended when I Snope.com them on this crappola. It is not only rightwing dads; it is, also, sisters with rightwing husbands. Once upon a time she thought for herself. I love her unconditionally but some days I just want to scream, as I am sure she does at me, too!
