Be forewarned on what is happening .
A friend went to hear Charles Krauthammer. He listened with 25 others in a closed room. What he says here, is NOT 2nd-hand but 1st. You would do well to read and pass this along to EVERYBODY that loves his country. This is VERY serious for the direction of our country. The ramifications are staggering for us & our children.
To my Friends & Associates:
Last Monday was a profound evening, hearing Dr. Charles Krauthammer speak to the Center for the American Experiment. He is brilliant intellectual, seasoned & articulate. He is forthright and careful in his analysis, and never resorts to em otions or personal insults. He is NOT a fear monger nor an extremist in his comments and views. He is a fiscal conservative, and has a Pulitzer prize for writing.
He writes weekly for the Washington Post. The entire room was held spellbound during his talk. I have shared this with many of you and several have asked me to summarize his comments, as we are living in uncharted waters economically and internationally. Even 2 Dems at my table agreed with everything he said! If you feel like forwarding this to those who are open minded and have not drunk the Kool-Aid’, feel free.
Here is his resume from Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Krauthammer
A summary of his comments:
1. Mr. Obama is a very intellectual, charming individual. He is not to be underestimated. He is a ‘cool customer’ who doesn't show his emotions. It's very hard to know what's ‘behind the mask’. Taking down the Clinton=2 0dynasty from a political neophyte was an amazing accomplishment. The Clintons still do not understand what hit them. Obama was in the perfect place at the perfect time.
2. Obama has political skills comparable to Reagan and Clinton. He has a way of making you think he's on your side, agreeing with your position, while doing the opposite. Pay no attention to what he SAYS; rather, watch what he DOES!
3. Obama has a ruthless quest for power. He did not come to Washington to make something out of himself, but rather to change everything, including dismantling capitalism. He can’t be straightforward on his ambitions, as the public would not go along. He has a heavy hand, and wants to ‘level the playing field’ with income redistribution and punishment to the achievers of society. He would like to model the USA to Great Britain or Canada.
4. His three main goals are to control ENERGY, PUBLIC EDUCATION, & NATIONAL HEALTHCARE by the Federal government. He doesn't care about the auto or financial services industries, but got them as an early bonus. The cap and trade will add costs to everything and stifle growth. Paying for FREE college education is his goal. Most scary is his healthcare program, because if you make it FREE and add 46,000,000 people to a Medicare-type single-payer system, the costs will go through the roof. The only way=2 0to control costs is with massive RATIONING of services, like in Canada. God forbid.
5. He’s surrounded himself with mostly far-left academic types. No one around him has ever even run a candy store. But they’re going to try and run the auto, financial, banking and other industries. This obviously can’t work in the long run. Obama’s not a socialist; rather he's a far-left secular progressive bent on nothing short of revolution. He ran as a moderate, but will govern from the hard left. Again, watch what he does, not what he says.
6. Obama doesn’t really see himself as President of the United States, but more as a ruler over the world. He sees himself above it all, trying to orchestrate & coordinate various countries and their agendas. He sees moral equivalency in all cultures. His apology tour in Germany and England was a prime example of how he sees America, as an imperialist nation that has been arrogant, rather than a great noble nation that has at times made errors. This is the first President ever who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies!
7. He’s now handing out goodies. He hopes that the bill (and pain) will not ‘come due’ until after he’s reelected in 2012. He’d like to blame all problems on Bush from the past, and hopefully his successor in the future. He has a huge ego, and Mr. Krauthammer believes he is a narcissist.
8. Republicans are in the wilderness for a while, but will emerge strong. We’re ‘pining’ for another Reagan, but there’ll never be another like him. Krauthammer believes Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty & Bobby Jindahl (except for his terrible speech in February) are the future of the party. Newt Gingrich is brilliant, but has baggage. Sarah Palin is sincere and intelligent, but needs to really be seriously boning up on facts and info if she’s to be a serious candidate in the future. We need to return to the party of lower taxes, smaller government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and states’ rights.
9. The current level of spending is irresponsible and outrageous. We’re spending trillions that we don’t have. This could lead to hyper inflation, depression or worse. No country has ever spent themselves into prosperity. The media is giving Obama, Reid and Pelosi a pass because they love their agenda. But eventually the bill will come due and people will realize the huge bailouts didn’t work, nor will the stimulus package. These were trillion-dollar payoffs to Obama’s allies, unions and the Congress to placate the left, so he can get support for #4 above.
10. The election was over in mid-September when Lehman brothers failed. fear and panic swept in, we had an unpopular President, and the war was grinding on indefinitely without a clear outcom e. The people are in pain, and the mantra of ‘change’ caused people to act emotionally. Any Dem would have won this election; it was surprising is was as close as it was.
11. In 2012, if the unemployment rate is over 10%, Republicans will be swept back into power. If it's under 8%, the Dems continue to roll. If it's between 8-10%, it’ll be a dogfight. It’ll all be about the economy.
I hope this gets you really thinking about what's happening in Washington and Congress. There’s a left-wing revolution going on, according to Krauthammer, and he encourages us to keep the faith and join the loyal resistance. The work will be hard, but we’re right on most issues and can reclaim our country, before it's far too late.
Fwd: Worth thinking about.....

The guy who said Iran was months away from a nuclear bomb and that we had to destroy them?
Back in 2006?
The guy who castigated Blix for not finding any WMD's in Iraq? As if it were HIS fault?
Charles Krauthammer? He's one of the most disingenuous hacks out there.
He lost me at "Sarah Palin is sincere and intelligent."
Where were these people with their concerns about deficits when W (and Reagan as well) were running up huge debts?
Where is this slander coming from that Obama wants to "destroy capitalism"? Has he ever said that? Has he ever written that? No and no. Its funny because I have European friends who will tentatively endorse Obama (since he's better than a Republican) but will qualify their approval by saying "he's still a capitalist". Amazing how the same guy, a fairly middle of the road American, can be interpreted so differently depending on which extreme your viewpoint happens to occupy.
The election was not given to Obama because of Lehman Brothers collapsing. He was leading in polling, money and campaign resources for the majority of the campaign. The economic collapse certainly pushed him up, but he had plenty of Electoral votes to spare.
Nor is it right to say that the election was "surprisingly close". Obama picked up states many never dreamed a democrat could win. He won Indiana for goodness sake, first Democrat to do so since LBJ in 64. And he did it with a ground game and a GOTV effort which was second to none.
I'm not sure what's more incredible: that so called Conservative intellectual can get away with spouting such garbage, or that Conservatives are so eager to eat it up.
Ah, the wonders of Chuck Shithammer... a more worthless piece of drek is hard to find. Whatever. Chuck probably did spew most of the stuff quoted here bc he is one big fat nasty tool.
Yeah, we've seen it all before and refuted 99.99% of their arguments, but the wingtards rush to LAP UP crap like in their deluded state.
Members of my family are quoting this hack and INSIST that BHO won by a mere 10,000 votes. Srsly... I sadly admit it. They are so brainwashed that it is frightening to talk to them sometimes. If I point out non-parisan, politically independent websites that list the vote counts for the election, my family insists that these sites are lying, are eeevul librul "tools", etc.
There is simply no getting thru to such people. They wish to believe in their deluded fantasies. They continue to vote against their own self-interests, and they wish to view BHO as this evil despot who out to "destroy"... fill in the blank.
As one poster has said already: BHO is actually fairly middle of the road and only somewhat left of center. Although I am DELIGHTED to have an ADULT as a President and think he is doing - overall - a good job, I never thought he was that liberal (and the same was true of Clinton).
From my perspective, I would prefer someone more progressive, but I certainly am happy to see BHO in the Whitehouse (esp given the alternative of McCain and - ack!- Palin. Yeah: Palin is about as sincere and "intelligent" as my big toe... sheesh).
It is scary, though, bc believe me, wingtards lap this stuff up and cling to their delusions, and I sure don't see it getting any "better." The rightwing noise machine KNOWS it, and that's why they spew forth these talking points... bc it works.
"The only way to control costs is with massive RATIONING of services, like in Canada. God forbid."
1) We already have rationing. Right now it's rationing based on ability to pay.
2) Yes, God Forbid we end up like Canada. I mean, since Canada hates their system so much and is clamoring for ours and -- wait, I'm sorry, they're not. They actually PITY us for our (according to every RW radio host on the air) "best healthcare system in the world."
Per the last Anon post: there was a different RWF somewhat recently (or else I saw it on Wonkette) where the wingtards were ranting about teh horrer of the USA becoming more like, SHUDDER GASP!!, Denmark!!
Really! And everyone was like: sheesh, I can only DREAM that the USA would be like Denmark, where they are alleged to have citizens who are the most satisfied in the world (or some such).
It is an unceasing amazement to me that the right is so "afraid" of becoming more humane to their citizens bc that is what it amounts to.
"He’d like to blame all problems on Bush from the past, and hopefully his successor in the future. He has a huge ego, and Mr. Krauthammer believes he is a narcissist."
Well, uh, MOST of the current problems eminate directly from the past 8 years of the Bush Admin: duh. I love how this slithering creature likes to slime away from responsibility.
And, methinks it's Hammerhead who's a narcissist w/a big ego.
Project much???
P.S. Typically poor writing skilz exhibited in those 2 sentences. Lessee: reduce all funding for public skools bc it's teh dreded socilizm!!!111!!!
1. This is not "first hand" Its at least second hand, and from the tone, closer to third. First hand is us being there. Second hand is someone who was there telling us. Third would be a guy there telling some guy who emailed us.
2. He started to lose me at "ruthless quest for power", and completely lost me at "Obama seems himself as ruler over the entire world." Yeah, sure.
I like the bit at the beginning where he says that this is not secondhand, but first.
In an email reporting what a friend heard from a speaker.
If only Obama had real-world business experience, like Bush:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arbusto_Energy
To be fair, I always through Bush what put in positions like Arbusto to fleece most of the investors to the benefit of a select few.
On Friday 6/19, Bill Maher was opining again about the Democrats aren't really even that "left of center," nor is BHO.
It's a good clip, where Maher berates the democrats for being like the "old GOP" (commenting that the current GOP should be locked up in a mental ward). It's an apt description.
Maher - and I - wish that the Democrats were much more progressive - OR - that a new third party would emerge that is more progressive.
The current GOP rants & raves about how left-wing the democrats are, but that is equally as false as 99.9999999% of their ravings.
In some ways, though, the GOP is successful in pushing forward a right-wing agenda even during a period when Democrats appear to have control.
BE AWARE of this, as well.
I totally agree with the last comment. The Bill Maher piece last night was the thing he's done in quite a while. Here's the video.
RE: Krauthammer... all I can say is check him out sometime on the Fox Super Genius Roundtable with Bill Kristol and Mara Liasson (who should be ashamed of herself) ...what a creep!!!
Well shit, if Charles Whoseewhatsit says it, it must be true. After all, this forwarded email from crazy Uncle Jim says he writes for the Washing Post...or Times. Whatever, he must be smart because thie anonymous email writer says he is. We clearly must stand up and fight against this insidious invasion from within. Keep the faith and Viva La Revolution!
To CMcD: Mara Liasson, IMHO, is as much of a right wing hack tool creep as Chuck the Junkhammer... Albeit, she *should* feel ashamed of herself for being on NPR and sorta-kinda PRETENDING to be objective.
She & Juan Williams are both tools of Pirate Murdoch... Don't be fooled by the likes of those 2 tools... yech. I mostly turn off NPR when they come on bc I know I'm gonna be buried in b.s., lies, nonsense, hypocricy or worse...
