Fw: SENIOR DEATH WARRANTS -- Mine or Yours?

Subject: Fw: SENIOR DEATH WARRANTS -- Mine or Yours?

Very informative info from a friend of mine in Arkansas. We had better stop the Democrats before they pass Obama's health plan or we will be in a lot of trouble down the road. Call your congressman's office immediately and register your opinion.

Did this e-mail just float here in a bottle from a year ago?

Do you think they actually believe the crap they make up?

One interesting line: he says there is a current shortage of 400K doctors. I doubt this is true, but if it is, why would "The best health care system in the world" have such a shortage of doctors? If the US is truly such a great system, shouldn't we have plenty of doctors who wish to work here?

In England no one over 59 can receive heart repairs or stents or bypass because it is not covered as being too expensive and not needed.

Not actually true.

As noted, we've seen this before; it is a re-run of the Koch Industries funded Americans for (uber rich only) Prosperity thinktank run by one of the sleazier jerks, Tim Phillips who oozes cretinism when interviewed by Rachel Maddow.

Yeah, this is full of lies, the most favorite of which (and I've heard this often from wingtards getting hyper about - gasp shudder - teh dreaded socialized health care) is that after a "certain age" - which is sometimes 60 or 65 or 70 or 72 or 78 or 80 or 85 or 90 (I've heard every single one of those ages mentioned) - you won't have a tinker's damn in hell of getting ANY health care because you're tooo ooooold and not worth the cost.

Well the Dems are getting close to passing what passes for a mongrelized version of so-called "Health care reform," and so the reichwing is pulling out the Granny Dealth Panels from mothballs, and it will certainly do the trick of riling up brainwashed teabaggers who have been carefully taught to froth with rage and tremble with fear at anything the lefties say, do or want. sigh

Unfortunately the teabaggers - thanks to such as the obscenely wealthy Koch family industries - have been successful in watering down health care reform to the point where it's not really all that great, nor will it provide the kind of regulations that are truly needed, nor will it provide the comprehensive coverage and care that we need.

Thanks for nothing, ya chumps!

Teabaggers: ruining life for the little guy for the past 3 decades, while ensureing that their mega rich corporate overlords laugh all the way to their offshore accounts.

DUH!!!!!!!!!

I guess the wingtards got tired of making up new lies, and despite their aversion to the facts about global climate change and any thing that liberals like, they decided to RECYCLE their old lies.

Must've been busy screwing someone other than their spouses (good "family values" C Street "Family" folks that wingtards are) to be bothered to think up new, different lies to peddle out to the teabaggers.

The "end of life" counseling and the "end of life costs" that have been talked about are just that - END of life issues, in the truest sense of the word "end".

It's been pointed out that the US probably over spends on end of life costs - as in, for a variety of reasons, we spend too much money on prolonging the lives of terminally ill patients - i.e., people who are DYING - in the last weeks and days of life. This has to do with lack of living wills, fear of lawsuits, incentives to over-treat people with insurance no matter how hopeless, etc.

The right has glommed onto a sentiment that boils down to essentially: "Gee, maybe doing everything possible to keep comatose dying people alive an extra couple days isn't such a good idea, and if more people had living wills we could let them go without fear of lawsuits and the money that would have been wasted on heroic measures to drag out their deaths could be better spent on keeping others healthy and alive" into - this nonsense.

Big Ins, the hospitals, the overall health care industry is racking up HUGE (I mean GIANT) amounts of $$$$ on prolonging life at the end. It's been hammered into credulous teabaggers - both by the greedy, amoral corporations who have hijacked our political system - and by the church (who's in on the scam, in *some* cases, as in the C Street "Family" types of churches) - that prolonging life to the nth degree and beyond is what's "right" or what "God wants" and other such palaver.

Not so long ago, people just died naturally without feeding tubes and trach tubes to force essentially dead bodies to "breath." Such extreme measures have only become possible in recent decades and were invented mainly as an aid when people had radical surgeries or injuries and needed life support briefly as a bridge between treatments.

Frankly, it's rampant unabashed GREED that's mainly drive this crappy health care "debate," it's extremely frustrating to see such irresponsible unethical and untrue nonsense being sent out there.

People really ought to question, research and THINK about these issues, rather than listen to what Sean Insanity tells them.

Okay, I want to know who is paying for his $3000 shot. If it's in danger of being rationed away from him, then we must have a Medicare recipient. Which means the imaginary author of the email is already the beneficiary of socialized medicine.

Hibryd,

Right-wing anti-health-care-reform rhetoric is almost the perfect instantiation of the Orwellian concept of "doublethink", holding in your mind two contradictory ideas without complaint. Reform is bad both because it will lead to socialized medicine *and* because it will interfere with socialized medicine.
