Subject: FW: Beggers
Jose and Carlos are both beggars. They beg in different areas of town.
Carlos begs for the same amount of time as Jose, but only collects
about eight or nine dollars a day.
Every day, Jose brings home a suitcase full of ten dollar bills.
He drives a Mercedes, lives in a mortgage-free house, and has lots of
cash to spend.
"Hey, amigo," Carlos says to Jose, "I work just as long and hard
as you do, so how come you bring home a suitcase full of ten dollar
bills every day?"
Jose says, "Look at your sign, what does it say?"
Carlos' sign reads: I have no work, a wife and six kids to support.
"What's wrong with that?" Carlos asks him.
"No wonder you only get eight or nine dollars a day!"
Carlos says, "All right, so what does your sign say?"
Jose's sign reads: I only need ten dollars to get back to Mexico .

D'oh! I thought José would turn out to be a Wall Street Bankster.
This actually is a pretty good joke, but not for the reasons the wingnuts think it is.
If anything, it just goes to show that the RW obsession with deportation and keeping immigrants out at all costs allows them to basically ignore all other priorities.
Brown people aren't allowed on Wall Street. Surely you knew he was a dark-hued foreign invader from that strange, alien name with the scary, scary accent mark?!
Ha ha, hating Mexicans is fun.
Ha ha... so NOT funny but also SO expressing the bigotry + ignorance of the right.
Most folks, including Repuglicans, who live in CA actually realize how much Mex-American citizens AND illegals contribute to our economy.
There is an interesting article in a very recent New Yorker about Fred Franzia, who is a big-time wine maker based in CA's San Joaquin Valley (he makes the 2 Buck Chuck that Trader Joe's sells, amongst many other labels).
A couple months ago a young female illegal died whilst working in one of his vineyards. Without getting into various details (he said, she said) about this case, Fred claims in the article what most CA know: without the illegals who work for lower wages, we Americans (I'm looking at you, Repuglicans) wouldn't enjoy the lower prices (I mean: $2 buck Chuck, which has won awards) that we do.
A lot of our economy is underpinned by these folks hard, hard but cheap labor. It really fries me when the wingtards want to be bigoted and mean spirited about something like this.
And it's been disproven that EVEN IF we were able to keep ALL illegals out, etc, that wages would rise for US Citizens. It's all a bunch of b.s., and the majority of the work that these folks do is back-breaking stoop labor that no citizen wants to do.
You want to pick lettuce, wingtards???? Be my guest & have fun doing it, and btw go live in a cardboard shack (literally) when your done for the day: you know: no facilities, no running water, no electricity, no heat, etc....
Bastards.
