Hard to believe what is going on in this country.

This is just sickening.  Only 58% have voted on the FOX poll to NOT ban the flag in school and something like 36% voted YES, to ban it.  What is going on in this country??  Read below.
Fox is running a poll about whether the flag should be banned in schools in order not to inflame Hispanic students. The poll is being sandbagged by SEIU and we should mount a counter action if you agree with me that the flag should be taken down for no one.

Moveon.org, Organizing for America , and SEIU have been twittering today to go to Fox Poll and vote to ban the Flag .... and right now it is
working.

SHOW THEM WHAT TRUE PATRIOTS BELIEVE!!! Let's flip
those numbers and show the leftists we are organized and on the  move....flip the numbers now-FLIP THE HOUSE in November!
GO HERE NOW:

I suppose not a single soul checked to see if
MoveOn and SEIU actually called for the poll
to be freeped.

And, of course, they didn't.

I suspect that righties freeped the poll
themselves, and then screamed in mock
outrage. Which, in turn, galvanized even
more conservatives to go to a conservative
propaganda site to vote in a meaningless
poll in order to show those DFH's what for.

Wow, of all the crap to get your panties bunched about. A non scientific, meaningless poll on the Fox News website. God these people need to a get a life.

What's really bizarre is that they think that places like MoveOn and SEIU would want to ban flags in schools. Do they have any idea what MOveOn and the SEIU actually DO? Of course not.

The strange twisted parallel world of Wingnuttia is so divorced from reality it's like you can't even ARGUE with them, because where would you start?

When you think of the thugs at SEIU or the nitwits at MoveOn, just think COMMUNISTS!

That's all. Communists are anti-American to their very core.

Wow, we may have a new frontrunner for troll of the year!

Hey: quit slammin' on Commies! I'm a loud proud Commie, so STFU, Jingoist.

/snark

Seriously, do these people even know the meanings of the terms that they bandy about so freely?? They listen to RushGlenn a little too much.

Hey Jingoist: here's a thought. Turn off your radio and tv for 2 weeks and try to think for yourself for a change. And use Google to look at more than just rightwing websites.

Did you guys check out jingoist's blogger profile?

"I'm a hard-working businessman and veteran who loves America because of FREEDOM and the brilliance of our founding principles. My wonderful wife and children, and faith in the Creator are the center of my life. I despise collectivists and slackers!"

For real, or brilliant parody? You decide.

@ Katz

My thoughts exactly when I read it. I mean, even the name JINGOIST (in all caps, natch) sounds too over the top to be serious. Either this guy is completely off the deep end, or we are all being played.

Wow, talk about changing the subject! Who cares what a blogger on this site has for a profile or a name. I mean look at some of your lefties names (gruaud=wine, fershitzandgiggles, katz, MarcwithaC, etc) What liberals are good at is making people think they have all the answers. They are just the other side of the coin. Instead of dividing our country down party lines why don't we all try to work together and get something done. Neither party does any good by themselves. That is why we need to get rid of BIG gov't. We know how each side advances when their party is in control and then when the other party comes in they shake everything up to go with their agenda.

@ Anon

We aren't changing the subject. We are legitimately asking if this character is so exaggerated that he may in fact be a parody of a wing nut, a la Jon Swift. Having the name JINGOIST is so damn over the top that its almost a satirical wink. Sorry if you don't get the concept of satire or why we might be thinking these things.

Neither party does any good by themselves. That is why we need to get rid of BIG gov't.

So you're totally non partisan... yet you spout off right wing, Republican, Tea party talking points? Typical denial.

Woosh!!!!! There goes the idea being discussed, right over your head.

No, Anon, the subject of your discussion was addressed.

As far as working together is concerned: I'm all for it.

However, simply stating "get rid of big govt" is not THE answer. It is ONE proposed solution, which really doesn't address all the issues.

I totally agree that ALL citizens are being played by the moneyed elite, and I also agree that our overall Fed govt structure is very dysfunctional. However, when I suggest to conservatives that first step to reducing the fed govt is getting out of useless, expensive wars started on lies and greatly reducting the size of the Pentagon & Military budgets - I either get NO response OR I get a huge push-back.

I wonder why that is?

It's rizable to suggest that we get rid of the US Postal Service bc it's "wasting" tax dollars. I happen to believe that the US Postal Service provides good value for our dollars (for ex, try mailing a letter or a birthday card via FedEx or UPS and see how much it costs even at their cheapest, slowest delivery rate). But the amount of US tax dollars spent to support the Postal Service is chump change in comparison to what is spent on the military industrial complex.

Yet conservatives rant about the US Postal Service but ignore military spending.

When we can finally have a reasonable discussion about military spending, then let's talk. The rest of the "discussion" about "shrinking the govt" is a distraction from what's really ailing the nation, imo.

But thanks for coming here and writing a somewhat reasonable post. I don't believe that "most leftists think they have all the answers." I think that's something that rightwing media personalities, such as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, have told you. I don't think most leftist citizens feel that way. You might want to consider that point of view absent listening to your radio for one day.

And so: crickets from the rightwingers when confronted with a factual discussion (that doesn't agree with their RushGlenn fantasy world). Figures.
