Fw: Fw: The Dallas Solution to Immigration...

The Dallas

I have a friend who is president of his homeowners association in the Dallas , Texas suburbs.  They were having a terrible problem with litter near some of his association's homes.  The reason according to my friend is that six very large, luxurious new houses are being built right next to their community.

The trash was coming from the Mexican laborers working at the construction sites and included bags from McDonald's, Burger King and 7-11, plus coffee cups, napkins, cigarette butts, coke cans, empty bottles, etc.  He went to see the site supervisor and even the general contractor, politely urging them to get their workers not to litter the neighborhood, to no avail.  He called the city, county, and police and got no help there either.

So here's what his community did.  They organized about twenty folks, named themselves The "Inner Neighborhood Services" group, and arranged to go out at lunch time and "police" the trash themselves.  It is what they did while picking up the trash that is so hilarious.

They bought navy blue baseball caps and had the initials "INS" embroidered in gold on the caps.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what they hoped people might mistakenly think the letters really stand for..

After the Inner Neighborhood Services group's first lunch time pickup detail, with all of them wearing their caps and some carrying cameras, 46 out of the total of 68 construction workers did not show up for work the next morning -- and haven't come back yet.

It has been ten days now.

The General Contractor, I'm told, is madder than hell, but can't say anything publicly because he could be busted for hiring illegal aliens.  My friend and his bunch can't be accused of impersonating federal personnel, because they have the official name of the group recorded in their homeowner association minutes along with a notation about the vote to approve formation of the new subcommittee -- and besides, they informed the INS in advance of their plans, and according to my friend, the INS said basically, "Have at it!"

Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes....... 12 million illegal aliens are depending on you.

No apology for sending this! ! ! After hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. Nowhere did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even close. I'm NOT sorry if this offends anyone because this is MY COUNTRY - IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY SPEAK UP -- please pass this along.  Come through like everyone else. APPLY FIRST - Get a sponsor; have a place to lay your head; have a job; pay your taxes, live by the rules AND LEARN THE LANGUAGE as all other immigrants have in the past -- and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Think about this: If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone -- YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM!  It is Time for  America   to Speak up. No wonder  California is in such financial trouble!

Yep, I passed it on!

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'

How conveniently unidentifiable.

Snopes (not that you really need it)

Not to mention the whole "they want to sing
the national anthem in spanish" screed.

They don't even care that they get caught in
their lies. It doesn't matter if you refute them
with facts or logic. That was never their point.

They just keep lying over and over so as to
keep everyone fighting them day after day so
that nothing ever gets done.

This is why I raise my eyebrows whenever
Obama talks about bipartisanship. Fuck that

That particular ship sailed away years ago.

Interestingly enough, the first thing that came to mind when reading this RWF, was... "Gee, If these supposed Illegal Aliens are leaving trash from McDonald's, Burger King and 7-11, plus coffee cups, napkins, cigarette butts, coke cans, empty bottles, etc.... they MUST be adding to our economy by BUYING things here, and paying SALES TAX."

I know, I know. Right-wingers will simply say they stole all that stuff ;)

So... there was a development which was building 6 huge new houses for super rich people. And the HOA hired or authorized some contractor who hired illegal immigrants as labor. And this was all fine, but when those immigrants dared to leave some litter on the ground of Shangri la it was an unholy insult.

So now you have a bunch of ugly half finished homes in this park and a construction schedule which is over time and over budget. So you've reduced the value of your own homes, created an eyesore, and cost someone else a lot of money.

No mention of why the immigrants weere there: to labor long and hard for small pay in order to increase the profit margin and wealth of rich people. Nope, they just showed up out of the blue and started taking jobs from "real" Americans (who of course NEVER leave trash around construction sites.

Odds that this is true.... .000003%

At no point is the employer ever responsible for any of this. The construction company is not villainized for hiring illegals, or for not making sure its employees clean up after themselves. Would these oh-so-terrible illegal immigrants even be there if someone hadn't hired them?

This email must be kinda old. The "INS" ceased to exist in 2003. They couldn't even bother to change the name to ICE ?!?

So part of the solution to illegal immigration is to email fictional (and unreasonably long) tales of illegals being litterbugs. And the silly revenge taken on them (for littering) by the people whose homes they probably built.

Yeah, these particular immigrants seem to be contributing to the economy by providing labor and consuming American goods. And not only are they paying sales tax, they're overpaying income tax, since they can't file tax returns. Sounds like four good reasons to let them stay.

Yesterday when I listened to the lecture given by AZ State Rep, John Kavanaugh, all Kavanaugh did was villify the horrid illegal aliens, who allegedly cause "more crime" (his stats were very fishy and refuted by Prof Andy Silverman of the Univ of AZ), "take away jobs" from 'murkinz, and the illegals just cost tons of money, abuse the "system," and generally make everything very very bad.

My exact question to Rep Kavanaugh was: "what about the businesses that deliberately and knowingly hire undocumented workers, usually in order to pay crummy wages in unsafe conditions"?? Why aren't you going after the business owners, some of whom go into Mexico and Central America to recruit and bring undocumented workers to the USA? And why does the ICE and the new AZ law only target the undocumented workers but do nothing to the white business owners.

Kavanaugh had no answer for me. He waffled and then barfed out typical red meat for rightwingers comments that went over like a lead balloon with the audience I was in. He really didn't have anything of value to offer; just the usual crap like this dumb fiction about the gawd-awfulness of dirty messicans ruining everything. The end.

These people are morally bankrupt and even politicians don't give a fig about truth or facts. Kavanaugh was smug to the point of pukiness, and he never bothered to try to refute my question with anything remotely factual.

It definitely works with racist tea partiers, and the corporate owned media gives the Tea Party all the attention, the optics and the importance... as if they're in a majority. Which they're not.

Scurrilous right wing crappy propoganda, and not even updated.

I used to be a motel maid. It's not uncommon for legal immigrants to be threatened by supers who tell them they'll be deported if they, for example, demand overtime, try to unionize, or report on-the-job injuries. Some of them, with work visas, maybe they can be, I dunno. Others just shut up because they don't know either and won't risk it. And some of them are legal but may have undocumented family or friends, so it's better to just not make waves.

So, assuming any of this happened, it's not evidence that anyone actually *was* undocumented just because they didn't show up the next day. We occasionally deport people who were *born in the US*, for God's sake, just because they don't have the right papers.

Thanks for the info, D. Sidhe. You're right, and I've had friends who've said the same as you.

It comes down to being a class war with the weatlhy using various kinds of intimidation and abuse to keep the workers down and in their place.

White racists who think that they'll be "spared" and favored by the very wealthy simply bc they're white and go along with brutal tactics like this are living in a fool's paradise.

Make no mistake, if they go after minorities over nothing - as this fiction shows - then they'll go after a white person, too. Note how everyone right now is just so grateful to have any job... people's wages and salaries have gone down in this climate. Even well educated professionals have had to accept much lower wages.

Do you honestly believe this is accidental? The wealthy 1 percent at the top don't give a **** what race you are or whether you speak English or not. They're out to rip us all off, no matter what.

They laugh with glee when rubes are distracted by racist crap like this piece of stupid fiction.

Um...isn't that what these Mexicans (because of course there are NEVER EVER illegal immigrants from Europe, you know, because they're white and all...) were trying to do, until a bunch of racist dirtbags threatened them with deportation? 0_0

not that this story is true, of course, but still...

Don't forget we also deport Puerto Ricans to Mexico.
