Fw: The Pop Party

The Pop Party
Please join this Party! No money donation required!

A POLITICAL PARTY OF YOUR CHOICE.

A new political party, not Democrat, not Republican, not Independent.

It is called the "PISSED OFF PARTY" (or POP).

This party is dedicated to vote every incumbent out of office in the November elections.

If you are Democrat, vote Democrat.  Just do not vote for any incumbent.

If you are Republican, vote Republican.  Just do not vote for any incumbent.

If you are Independent, vote Independent.  Just do not vote for any incumbent.
We need to send a message to all politicians, that we are tired of their B.S.

By voting out all the incumbents, the new incoming politicians will get the message or we'll replace them too.

It is pretty simple.  Nobody needs to change parties, and let's face it, there is plenty of blame to spread around.

A few good politicians will lose their job, but they have much better retirement and insurance then 95% of the American public. Most of us have had to struggle for the last 9 years.  Some of you have lost your job, and may be working in some other sector just to feed your family. None of the current crop of politicians has suffered  like this country has.

If you are fed up
, and think this is a good idea, then pass this E-mail on to others. If you really think this has legs, then please help setup a website and a blog to get the word out. Also please read the following:

The following should be read and understood by all Americans, Democrats, Independents, Republicans, EVERYONE!

To All 535 voting members of the Legislature
, you are ALL corrupt morons that only think of yourself.

THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE
was established in 1775.  You have had 234 years to get it right, and it is broke.

SOCIAL SECURITY
was established in 1935.  You have had 74 years to get it right, and it is broke.

FANNIE MAE
was established in 1938.  You have had 71 years to get it right, and it is broke.

WAR ON POVERTY
started in 1964.  You have had 45 years to get it right, and $1 trillion dollars of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor", and they only want more.

MEDICAID
were established in 1965.  You have had 44 years to get it right, and it is broke.

FREDDIE MAC
was established in 1970.  You have had 39 years to get it right, and it is broke.

THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil.  It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year, and we import more oil than ever before.  You have had 32 years to get it right, and it is an abysmal failure, with these Do-Nothings getting more of our money each year.

You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.

NOW YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM?  IT IS NOT ABOUT THE NEED FOR GOOD HEALTH CARE, IT IS ABOUT TRUSTING THE GOVERNMENT TO RUN IT.  YOU 535 PEOPLE ARE THE MOST INEPT, CORRUPT GROUP EVER ELECTED TO RUN THIS COUNTRY!

Folks, keep this circulating.  Maybe it will end up in the e-mails of some of our duly elected and their staff which may clue them in on how Americans feel.

Oh, this is not partisan, oh no!

It only attacks the postal service, social security, fannie may, anti-poverty initiatives, and energy - and makes no mention of which party has been actively TRYING to make these programs broke - in both senses of the word "broke". Nor is there any mention of the pentagon or any part of the military being "broke" (in right-wing-landia, there never is). No mention of regulation of big business or environmental protections being "broke".

Also, I've noticed that these "vote out all incumbents" things always start coming around more when the Democrats control congress. Must be a conincidence, right?

People should vote for people whose ideals and goals align with theirs, not for whatever party they happen to belong to.

A trillion dollars "transferred" to the "poor" every year? As they say in Wikipedia, [citation needed].

If we look at the 2010 budget:
Military: $901 billion
Social Security: $696 billion (and we know Tea Partiers don't consider their Social Security a socialist bailout)
Income Security (retirement): $477 billion
Medicare: $452 billion
Medicaid: $290 billion

Now, which of these should I add up to get $1 trillion?

Let's simplify:

You are fucking RETARDED if you vote GOP and
you AREN'T a billionaire. If you vote Republican,
the billionaires get richer and everybody else
gets poorer. It's that simple.

Trickle-down is a misnomer.

It's an atomic vacuuming-upward.

Of YOUR money, dummies.

"Look over there! Illegal immigrants!!"

Pathetic.

They never shout about voting out the incumbents in the PRIMARY election, just the GENERAL election. Gee I wonder which party would do better if that happened?

These suckers can kiss my behind. Only when they start the list with: first end ALL wars (and I'm not just talking about Iraq & Afghanistan) and take the money away from the DOD and the Military Industrial complex.

I never, ever see these idiotic fools saying that, so emails like this are just as much crap as all the other fatuous nonsense dreamed up in rightwing thinktanks and sent out to these braindead jerks.

I agree: vote for whomever you believe (after doing some homework for a change) will have the values and ideas that align most with yours. Frankly, there's not a huge difference anymore between either party, but this is also not so subtly pushing partisan politics, while attempting to appear not to.

United we stand, but forever divided we are ripped off by the fat-cats at the top, and those fat-cats are mostly making giant bucks from everyone's tax dollars pissed down the drain hole called War, Inc.

In the immortal words of Gill Scott Heron: "Wake up, ******, or we're ALL through." Mr. Heron wasn't just speaking to African Americans, I might add.

The Dept of Energy has "failed" because the billionaires at the top has made sure that the US population remains totally dependent on BigOil. That's where most of the 2% make their money. They have absolutely no interest in reducing dependence on oil; rather the contrary. Anyone who wants to blame our nation's dependence on oil on the Dept Energy is a big fat liar.

I know someone who has a good idea relating to use of electric cars. He's been tryiing to sell his idea to the Big 3 in Detroit: no interest. But the Big 3 in Detroit are actually run by BigOil.

This is crap, but that's one of the crappiest lies in it. When I actually see Tea Parties getting serious about reducing our dependence on oil, then I might want to listen to them. So far: crickets.

These are all strawman arguments.

Social Security isn't broken at all, and never believe it if they tell you that. It's a LIE. Pete Peterson is working overtime with the Obama admin to rip us all off with the lie that Soc Sec is unsustainable. There's nothing wrong with the trustfund, and if there is, then all they need to do is raise the Income deduction, which is incredibly regressive anyway. There's nothing wrong with this program, which citizens PAY INTO and then get back on retirement (or disability). Don't believe it.

The Post Office has been working fine. This is another strawman argument sent out to make it seem as if the PO is woefully mismanaged or cannot do the work correctly or something equally dumb. The PO actually runs quite well; they've done a good job at keeping up with changing times by seeking ways to be more efficient and cost-effective without raising the rates hugely. Try mailing a letter through one of the commercial carriers and see how expensive it is. Then tell me how poorly the PO is run. It's run quite well, thanks very much, and delivers a good service very cheaply.

These people work overtime to make well-run, beneficial gov't programs seem *as if* they're poorly run and are somehow this giant drain on citizens who get simply "no value" from them. In fact, the reverse is true.

Citizens are being lied to and bamboozled by nonsense like this. It would be nice if citizens would open their eyes just a tiny bit and really evaluate nonsense like this. Strawman arguments one and all. LIARS.
