Doctors
(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is
700,000.
(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians
per year are
120,000.
(C) Accidental deaths per physician
is
0.171.

Health and Human Services.

Now think about this:
Gun Owners
(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S.
is
80,000,000.
(Yes, that's 80 million)
(B) The number of accidental gun deaths
per year, all age groups,
is
1,500.
(C) The number of accidental deaths
per gun owner
is
.000188.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
So, statistically, doctors are approximately
9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Remember, 'Guns don't kill people, doctors do.'
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN,
BUT
Almost everyone has at least one doctor.
This means you are over 900 times more likely to be killed by a doctor as a gun owner!!!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Please alert your friends
to this
alarming threat.
We must ban doctors
before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Out of concern for the public at large,
I withheld the statistics on
lawyers
for fear the shock would cause
people to panic and seek medical attention

Ladies and gentlemen... Written down by the same folks who touted tort reform as the cure to our rising medical costs.
It's not the accidental deaths that appall me.
I like how its just "accidental" deaths. Never mind that there are 30k or so gun deaths a year in this country, or 20X the number they tout here.
As for doctors, yes, they do tragically make mistakes which can be fatal. Such is the danger of medicine. But if we got rid of all the doctors, how many more lives would be lost?
There lies the big difference here. If gun violence stopped, a lot more people would live. If doctors stopped, a lot more would die.
Silly false equivalencies + very obviously false statistics. Yep: works for the guns & ammo industry who clearly had this one sent out to dupe the stupid into spending their hard earned money... but hey! at least it's not on taxes, right? Better to have tons of guns, rather than, oh I don't know, good health care or good public schools or good roads.
Yeah: buy lots of guns... much better to have zillions of guns than to have an eeevul doctor available.
You need to see a doctor, you don't need a gun.
