This year, taxpayers will again receive an Economic Stimulus Payment.
Here is an attempt to explain this plan using the Q & A format:

Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
A. It is money the federal government will send to taxpayers.
Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. From taxpayers.
Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
A. Only a teeny tiny portion of it.
Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
A. The plan is for you to use the money to purchase a high-definition TV or
a new computer, thus stimulating the economy.
Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China?
A. Shut up.

So now tax cuts are a bad thing? Again, the RWDs of the world have me confused.

Of course, the majority of this stimulus is money to be spent here, in America, on infrastructure and relief for state governments reeling because of a terrible recession. But I've learned not to expect simple facts in an RWD forward.

Well, we are in debt waaaay beyond our eyebrows to the Chinese thanks to the Bush Crime Family's reign of error. So, uh, yeah, to a certain extent, the stimulus will probably ALSO benefit our asian overlords in China. And who's responsible for THAT?

But that is a little too complex for most right-wing ditto heads to comprehend.

In the meantime, what the Democrats wanted the stimulus to focus on was spending on things like food stamps, medicare, schools and infrastructure. ALL programs that would encourage spending WITHIN our economy.

It is the rethuglicans who forced a lot of spending on internal programs to be cut or reduced in FAVOR of giving richies tax breaks for things like flipping houses.

And btw, dopes, most computers aren't made in china at this point...
