----begin forward----
This should make Republican mad as hell and democrats should hang their
heads in shame. Barney Frank is clearly the ringleader of the Fannie Mae
and Freddie Mac mess.

The report so banned in America that it aired on Fox News!
Looks like this one's already been looked at:
http://mediamatters.org/items/200810010014
Fannie and Freddie were, in a sense, to blame for the bubble by giving the private market the feeling they could screw up and be bailed out, but blaming everything on them is as silly as blaming the Community Reinvestment Act.
Am i missing something here?
The report suggests the Republicans knew the dangers and new a recession was on the cards..........and did nothing about it!
sounds like admitting culpability to me ;)
This is a lot like John McCain saying: vote for me to be President bc only I know how to catch Osama Bin Ladin.
It's like: WTF? You REALLY know what will work but you won't TELL anyone UNLESS you're President??
Way to go, Mr. War Hero Ultra patriot.
Stupidity rules as always. Yes, Fannie & Freddie are at fault, along w/ a lot of obscenely wealthy rethuglican wall streeters, who, among many other venalities wasted tons of money on hookers & blow while taking insane and unseemly risks w/everyone's money... doi.
You know, I'm getting just a wee bit tired of the attempts to joejob Barney Frank. Is this revenge for having his career outlast Dick Armey's?
