I’m not sure I even get the point of this (imports are un-American I guess?) -Jennie
------begin forward-----
Joe Smith started the day early, having set his : alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN ) for 6 a.m. While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA ) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG ). He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA ), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE ) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA ) After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA ) he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO ) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN ) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA ) he got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY ) filled it with GAS (from Saudi Arabia ) and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.. At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day checking his Computer (Made In Malaysia ), Joe decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL ) poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE ) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA ), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in AMERICA ..... Ya gotta Keep this one circulating, please.! |

Wow, Joe sure lives pretty good for a guy with no job. Good thing he's got evil government things like unemployment insurance and medicare to help him out in his time of need.
well if the Republican business owners didn't keep outsourcing all businesses to third world countries so that they (the owners) could rake in all the $$$ for themselves alone, then perhaps we wouldn't be in this fix.
part of the reason why the democrats are seeking to pass the jobs creation (aka stimulus) bill is to get money flowing in THIS country.
Sam Walton & his brood are intent on being obscenely wealthy, so they outsource most of the manufacturing to China and other countries that have slave labor & slave wages. That does translate into cheaper goods for all Americans, but NOW we are paying for it... in a big way.
We whine about Bernie Madoff and his giant ponzi scheme (with good reason), but frankly just about all commerce in this country lately has been a giant ponzi scheme.
Yeah, we all benefited for a while, but now we are in pain.
But for once it would be nice for the right wing to take responsibility for why it happened and to take responsibility for making improvements.
But that's a laugh. It's easier for them to just blame others.
I love the way all these con emails say "every red-blooded American needs to read this" or something to that effect. Someone told them that you can get a message out on the internets and they lack the creativity to think beyond a copied chain letter. They might as well be using the postal service. Dinosaurs.
