Subject: FW: I voted Democrat because....

I voted Democrat because

I love the fact that I can now marry
whatever I want.
I've decided to marry my horse.

I voted Democrat because
I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are
obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas
at 15% isn't.

I voted Democrat because
I believe the government will do a better job of
spending the money I earn than I would.

I voted Democrat because
Freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I voted Democrat because
When we pull out of Iraq
I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

I voted Democrat because
I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I voted Democrat because
I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away In ten years if
I don't start driving a Prius.
>
I voted Democrat because
I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I voted Democrat because
I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see fit.

I voted Democrat because
I believe liberal judges need to rewrite The Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.
>
I voted Democrat because
My head is so firmly planted up my ass that it is unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

"A Liberal is a person who will give away everything they don't own."

I have to hand it to the right wing dads (and moms, grandparents, aunts and uncles) of the world. They keep on churning out this crap.

Some really quality stuff here.

Horses don't have legal standing to give consent to marry. But hey, if it makes you happy, God bless.

So I guess you'll be sending back your Obama tax cut then?

Yup, the government is so anti-business that they are spending taxpayer money like crazy in order to prop up failing businesses.

All these years later and they're still connecting 9/11 to Iraq. Bravo.

Really, you have to admire their persistence.

I voted Democrat because
I believe all of these principles apply equally to all parties.

Wow... well, no real surprises here, esp after a weekend of Lush Rimjob making every republicant his bitch.

One could refute or comment on every one of these, but one of the most offensive is the usual crapola about how, if you're gay, you'll "marry" (eg, have sex with) anything, including animals, rocks, trees, whatever. It is really in poor taste and then again just plain dumb. If you wish to be against gay marriage b/c you truly and honestly believe that god or the bible or whatever says it's a sin, then fine. But engaging in nasty and stupid non-comparisons and vapid put downs really weakens your "argument." WWJD? I don't think Jesus would say nasty stupid things like this.

Geez, are these people paranoid much? I dunno about anyone else, but I'm up there in years. I am female and travled alone around the world twice for over a year each time with a backpack, and in my youth I did a lot of hitchhiking in the USA and Europe. I used to live alone for many years, and at one time, I lived less than a block away from Section 8 housing.

Guess what??? I have only had my house robbed once, and that was in Australia, not in the USA. And I was only ripped off once when I was traveling. In both cases, there was (fortunately) no threat to my life.

I am aware that the streets have become "meaner" in recent years, and are likely to get worse in this economy (thanks to the Bush Crime syndicate and their enablers). But do I think that by owning a lot of guns 'n ammo I will be soo much safer? No, not really.

And yes, for all of the many problems with police depts, I do trust them. It's ironic that an old hippie protestor like me has more confidence in the p.d. than these conservatards do... does not compute.

And so on, ad nauseum....

As to buying your own guns, etc, I suppose you could see it as part of their current bleating about socialism-communism-marxism.... if you think that ANY gov't programs are "socialist," then I suppose that buying your own guns & becoming your own p.d. and militia has a sort of weird logic to it. In other words: I'll pay for it, myself, and stop paying police, soldiers, etc, to do the dirty work.

But by that twisted logic, then, these people also need to go out buy their own cement & bulldozers, etc, to build their own private roads, buy their own fire engines and helicopters to fight fires themselves (but only to protect their own property and no one else's), and, hey, yeah: buy their own guns & ammo & uniforms & humvees, etc, and go to war in Iraq...

The latter fact is a good idea since they believe we will be so "unsafe" once the US miliatry leaves Iraq. Come to think of it, it would be a totally GREAT idea if these folks rounded themselves up into a giant militia and shipped themselves off to Iraq at their own expense (since, surely, the military must also be socialistic/communist)! That would keep them busy enough!!

In REALITY it's:

I voted Republican because
My head is so firmly planted up my ass that it is unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

I voted Republican because I believe that as the gap between rich and poor gets wider, the chances of my winding up on the winning side will actually improve.

These days, a conservative is a greedy, self-entitled, small-minded, nasty little piece of work who would step on his/her own child if it meant they would make some money for THEMSELVES.

A conservative is a person who hasn't yet mastered verb-subject agreement.

Oh yea, we liberals just LOVE aborting babies! More aborted fetuses for me, please!
