Arizona governor  vs. Phoenix Suns  owner

The owner  of the Phoenix Suns basketball  team,  Robert  Sarver, opposes AZ's new immigration  laws.  Arizona 's  Governor, Jan Brewer, released the  following  statement  in response to Sarver's criticism of the  new  law:  "What if the  owners of the Suns discovered that  hordes  of people  were sneaking into games without  paying?  What if they  had a good idea who the gate-crashers  are,  but the  ushers and security personnel were not  allowed  to ask these  folks to produce their ticket stubs,  thus  non-paying  attendees couldn't be  ejected.  Furthermore,  what if Suns' ownership was expected  to  provide  those who sneaked in with complimentary  eats  and drink?  And what if, on those days when a  gate-  crasher  became ill or injured, the Suns had  to  provide free  medical care and  shelter?"  - Arizona Gov. Jan  Brewer  Try  going to any other country without  ID.

Whoever said that illegal immigrants are "exempt" from showing ID in any of these instances.

The issue at hand is whether or not the police can and should harass people without probable cause. Damn pesky Constitution!

While many of the items on that list require that you show ID, none of them require that you prove that you are a citizen.

Unless you carry a passport with you at all times, you don't have proof that you're a citizen when you're in public.

If you’re white a drivers lic. is all you need but if you’re brown then a birth certificate or passport is required.
Hell if you’re black and president of the country with a birth certificate you’re still suspect illegal.

Why do I get the feeling that "68%" isn't based on any sort of data whatsoever?

Why should people in this country illegally, be exempt!!!!

Why should commas and question marks, be used properly!!!!

Is this how "Real Americans" use the English language?

I'm curious how Arizona is compelled to provide "complimentary eats and drink" to undocumented aliens.

I have no doubt that there are at least occassional gate crashers who sneak into Suns games for free, but I fail to *grasp* how that results in the Suns providing said gate-crashers with free "eats and drinks." WTF?

Talk about gibbering nonsense: this whole entire RWF is riddled with ridiculous assertions, entirely false equivalencies, bald-faced lies, rank stupidities and nonsensical bullshit. Did I forget anything? Didn't think so.

Don't know how Brewer can possibly bear to look at her ugly mug in the mirror each day, much less bear witness to the racist, incendiary, senselessly violent shit that eminates from her pie-hole.

I would say "get a clue," but anyone who says "only 68% will pass this on, but 100% should" is so far gone that they're beyond redemption.

I haz a sadz... for our nation, as well as for the formerly great state of AZ.

Illegal immigrants did not cause any homes to be underwater, or 401Ks to shrivel or jobs to go overseas. I just can't get all worked up over some freebies that illegals may or may not be getting, that may or may not be offset by the taxes they pay or contributions they make to the economy by picking my vegetables for so little money. There is so much else that is easily identifiably wrong and with easily identifiable causes and villans.

68%? You're doing it wrong. It's supposed to be a *small* number so you can feel self-righteous about it.

Is it relevant that stadiums in this country are built as sweetheart deals with taxpayer dollars for megarich team owners who then collect most of the proceeds, only to demand a bigger stadium with more luxury boxes before the first one is even paid for?

Considering how much of this country is built every day by undocumented workers who the "real Americans" then want to kick out once they're done exploiting them, I think it's probably a better analogy than they meant. Especially in states that used to be part of Mexico before our expansionist wars.

This isn't just killing Irony, this is digging her up, putting lipstick on her corpse, and dragging it down to the local restaurant for a "date night".
