Fw: Obama -- According to an Editorial in The London Daily Telegraph

From The London Daily Telegraph
On Foreign Relations

"Let me be clear: I'm not normally in favour of boycotts, and I love
the American people. I holiday in their country regularly, and hate the
tedious snobby sneers against the United States. But the American
people chose to elect an idiot who seems hell bent on insulting their
allies, and something must be done to stop Obama's reckless foreign
policy, before he does the dirty on his allies on every issue."
--London Daily Telegraph editor -- Alex Singleton, April 11.

------------------------------------------------------------

One of the most poorly kept secrets in Washington is President Obama's
animosity toward Great Britain, presumably because of what he regards
as its sins while ruling Kenya (1895-1963).

One of Barack Hussein Obama's first acts as president was to return to
Britain a bust of Winston Churchill that had graced the Oval Office
since 9/11.  He followed this up by denying Prime Minister Gordon
Brown, on his first state visit, the usual joint press conference with
flags.

The president was "too tired" to grant the leader of America's closest
ally a proper welcome, his aides told British journalists.

Mr. Obama followed this up with cheesy gifts for Mr. Brown and the
Queen. Columnist Ian Martin described his behavior as "rudeness
personified." There was more rudeness in store for Mr. Brown at the
opening session of the United Nations in September. "The prime minister
was forced to dash through the kitchens of the UN in New York to secure
five minutes of face time with President Obama after five requests for
a sit down meeting were rejected by the White House," said London
Telegraph columnist David Hughes.  Mr. Obama's "churlishness is
unforgivable," Mr. Hughes said.

The administration went beyond snubs and slights last week when
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton endorsed the demand of Argentine
President Cristina Kirchner, a Hugo Chavez ally, for mediation of
Argentina's specious claim to the Falkland Islands, a British
dependency since 1833. The people who live in the Falklands, who speak
English, want nothing to do with Argentina. When, in 1982, an earlier
Argentine dictatorship tried to seize the Falklands by force, the
British -- with strong support from President Ronald Reagan -- expelled
them.

"It is truly shocking that Barack Obama has decided to disregard our
shared history," wrote Telegraph columnist Toby Young. "Does Britain's
friendship really mean so little to him?" One could ask, does the
friendship of anyone in the entire world mean anything to him?

"I recently asked several senior administration officials, separately,
to name a foreign leader with whom Barack Obama has forged a strong
personal relationship during his first year in office," wrote Jackson
Diehl, deputy editorial page editor of the Washington Post, on Monday.
"A lot of hemming and hawing ensued." One official named French
President Nicolas Sarkozy, but his contempt for Mr. Obama is an open
secret. Another named German Chancellor Angela Merkel. But, said Mr.
Diehl, "Merkel too has been conspicuously cool toward Obama."

Mr. Obama certainly doesn't care about the Poles and Czechs, whom he
has betrayed on missile defense. Honduras and Israel also can attest
that he's been an unreliable ally and an unfaithful friend.
Ironically, our relations with both Israel and the Palestinian
Authority have never been worse. Russia has offered nothing in exchange
for Mr. Obama's abandonment of missile defense. Russia and China won't
support serious sanctions on Iran. Syria's support for terrorism has
not diminished despite efforts to normalize diplomatic relations. The
reclusive military dictatorship that runs Burma has responded to our
efforts at "engagement" by deepening its ties to North Korea.

And the Chinese make little effort to disguise their contempt for him.

For the first time in a long time, the President of the United States
is actually distrusted by its' allies and not in the least feared by
its' adversaries. Nor is Mr. Obama now respected by the majority of
Americans. Understandably focused on the dismal economy and Mr. Obama's
relentless efforts to nationalize and socialize health care, Americans
apparently have yet to notice his dismal performance and lack of
respect in the world community.

They soon will.

The old gift-giving canard again? Really? We've already tread that ground.

I expected at least a mention of BP when I opened this one, but I guess the "BRITISH Petroleum hates the U.S.!" talking point wouldn't fit so well.

Ah yes, the Daily Torygraph, otherwise known as the Daily Telegraph. Read by ultra-conservatives in England who don't believe the "small people" should have a say in anything. Never forget that Great Britain has a firmly entrenched class system, so I have no doubt that the snobby white racists there cannot stand it that a BLACK person is POTUS. The horror! The horror!

All you need to know about Alex Singleton is that he used to be a fellow at the Charles G. Koch funded (remember that Charles' brother, William Koch, funds the Americans for Prosperity thinktank that astro-turfed the Tea Party) Institute for Humane Studies (doncha just love the phony names of these rightwing hate & greed tanks??) in Wash D.C.

Guess Alex earned his bona fides from the Koch Family Industries and continues to be the Koch's bitch-in-chief in merry olde England. See how to connect the dots??? Only takes one or two google searches, and one sees how all these contards work together, even transnationally. Be aware!

Meh: no surprise reading this nasty drivel. What a load of crap pooped out for racists in England, who are just as venal, nasty and stupid as their rightwing racist cousins in the USA. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?

Righties only care about what people from other countries think if it matches their narrow-minded racist viewpoint. Otherwise, their attitude is: I'm a 'Murkin and why should I listen to anything that *&^% furriner sez ta me???

So they dredge up some British version of a redneck, and suddenly the Brits are totally the bomb.

When I was in my furnished apartments in Buenos Aires , I saw on TV that Obama refused to support Britain in Falkland Islands dispute with Argentina and I think he's completely right.

If you took time to notice, on Nov. 2 we Americans tossed out the idiots in office that were up for reelection. 70% of the population here is opposed to Obama care, and most of his other policies, and told them at the polls.
By the way, my experience with people on the left is that they are extreemly narrow-minded, more racist than they let on, and if you digress the least bit from the 'religion' of PC, you are worse than the reigning dictators of WWII.

Well, sort of. There were only actually 2 incumbent Dems voted out of the Senate, and only a 6 seat swing in that body. Democrats still control the Senate, largely due to the extremists in the Tea Party being too much for most voters to accept. Miller looks to be on his way to a loss, which is really fucking amazing when you think about it: The official, Sarah Palin backed Republican candidate is about to lose to an incumbent write in candidate with a very hard to spell name. How does that fit in with your narrative?

In the House there were about 340 members reelected, or 80% of the Chamber. In some states like Iowa and NC, every single Dem incumbent was reelected.

70% of the population here is opposed to Obama care, and most of his other policies, and told them at the polls.

Sorry, no. About half say they want it repealed, but the other half say they want it either left alone or expanded. And when you ask them about the specific provisions of the plan, strong majorities say they SUPPORT them. As for telling him at the polls, its really interesting that 70% of the population would only translate into 54% of the vote. Were 8% of those angry with Obama too dumb to know which party to vote for?

By the way, my experience with people on the left is that they are extreemly narrow-minded, more racist than they let on, and if you digress the least bit from the 'religion' of PC, you are worse than the reigning dictators of WWII.

I would point out your crappy spelling, but that would probably make me a grammar Nazi.

But I'll give you that, they probably are more racist then they let on. Unlike the right, which proudly wears its racism for all to see.

And if *you* took the time to notice, most of the teabagger darlings were trounced, along with Democrats who were mostly Blue-dog and not worth a tin-plated cat turd.

With the glaring exception of Feingold, the midterms weren't too bad from a progressive standpoint. I'd rather see Republicans unseat the treacherous Blue-dogs then have a fake majority that gets nothing done.

Now the Republican House has two years to deliver something of value to the American people. And all they'll be able to deliver is a shit sandwich and a giant douche.

And then we'll see what America says.

I'm so glad Anon has resurrected a five month old e-mail about the Falkland Islands to voice his approval of the election.

Gee... my "right wing dad" just sent me this.
Here is part of my response to it:

The "bust of Winston Churchill" was on loan since 9/11, and it was appropriate to send it back on schedule.
The "cheesy gifts" were some of the Queen's favorite show tunes, and she appeared thrilled to receive them. What exactly do you get a Queen who has everything she wants?
Our "handling of the oil spill" was much better than BP's "handling of the oil"... which led the spill.
The Falkland Island issue is of "official neutrality", which is essentially meaningless as little is going on there.
I too have been horrified at all the missiles raining down on Poland and the Czech republic.
Russia and China and sanctions on Iran? you might want to read this:

Very few heads of state are invited to the royal wedding. It's not an affair of state, as William is not the direct heir to the throne.

Bottom line is that Obama is by far the most popular president we've had internationally in quite some time.

After scanning the comments, I had to chuckle. There the liberals clinging to their promise of free money go again! Whether they be in England, or USA, the mantra comes out nearly the same. Class warfare works so well for manipulative politicians trying to cash in on misery and greed. Let's perpetuate the fiction that The Emperor has clothes. That he knows what he's doing, that he really gives a s--t and isn't trying to pay back the fat cat union leaders, mega wealthy Saudis and Soros types, that he isn't a fraud. According to the latest findings, 49% of Americans don't pay taxes. That would make them the liberals that voted for BO along with the clueless idiots that are Dems cause their "pappy was a Dem". You Brits have your royalty. We have Obama spending money like we had it and telling us to tighten our belts. Our debt has zoomed since he took over. Bush was dumb, Obama's dumber.
Gifts, protocol, petty peeves over busts of a great man are diversions to what the real (12 trillion $)problem is here. Anyway, I hear most Brits weren't as enamoured of Churchill as the U.S. So it wouldn't be a big thing to those people to see his likeness sent back.
Just sayin' it like it is.

Chuckle away, that was barely coherent.

Oh, and thanks, grandma. I might have fucking swooned if you'd actually spelled out the word "shit".

Sorry, it’s a hoax e-mail. This was from two different articles written by an American. Not written by Alex Singleton, not published in the London Daily Telegraph.
