It has just been reported that the head gardener at The White House has been dismissed after 28 years of loyal service to the many US presidents.
When interviewed the gardener protested his innocence and said "All I know is I was walking past the Oval Office and I asked, 'Has anyone seen the spade and the hoe?'

Well, there'd be no reason for the gardening equipment to be in the Oval Office. I'd be suspicious too, frankly.

PS agree with Celia: if someone said this in the Oval Office, I would also be suspicious. Seriously, how dumb is this so-called "joke"?
Oh lookee: another conservative distraction from the reality that our environment is being RUINED by a large corporation that was enabled to do a horrible job by the Bush Admin who loaded Mines & Mineral Safety with corporate cronies...
