A good education story....
A former Sergeant, having served his time with the Marine Corps, took a new
job as a school teacher; but just before the school year started, he injured his back.
He was required to wear a plaster cast around the upper part of his body. Fortunately,
the cast fit under his shirt and wasn't noticeable. On the first day of class, he found himself
assigned to the toughest students in the school.
The smart-alecky punks, having already heard the new teacher was a former Marine, were leery of him and decided to see how tough he really was, before trying any pranks. Walking confidently into the rowdy classroom, the new teacher opened the window wide and sat down at his desk.
When a strong breeze made his tie flap, he picked up a stapler and promptly stapled the tie to his chest.
.....Dead silence... He had no trouble with discipline that year.

Key word being "story".
Discipline = more important than thinking.
That's why the RW worships marines.
And, for some strange reason, he never changed his clothes or bathed that year either.
I was just going to ask ( rhetorically ) why so many RW-ers worship the military, and are always quoting what this or that marine or retired officer says, when 'gami' seemed to condense just why simply and logically. It makes sense, given the that the authoritarian psyche is very dominant in RW chickenhawk's minds. I'm sure there is some vicariously driven envy as well.
Sorry, I meant "grami" in reference to above.
The other thing to note is that the vast majority of those who so agree with *fictional fairy tales* like this have never-ever been in the military, much less had to fight in a war.
They are, one & all, cheeto-breathed LOSERS, who would crap and run if they had to be in the military. Couldn't cut the mustard.
...When do we get to hear about the actual education in this education story?
