Subject: Fw: REMEMBER THIS ON ELECTION DAY 2010!

>
> Your U.S. House & Senate have voted themselves $4,700 and $5,300 raises.
>
> 1. They voted to not give you a S.S. cost of living raise in 2010 and 2011.
>
>
> 2. Your Medicare premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years and you will not get the 3% COLA or $660/yr. Your total 2-yr loss and costs$1,600 or $3,200 for husband and wife. Plain enough??????
>
>
> 3. Every member of Congress will get an added $10,000 which is putting them very close to $ 200,000 per year. Sounds like an elite class to us.
>
>
> 4. Do you feel SCREWED? They vote themselves a raise and better benefits. They only care about WE THE PEOPLE on election day, right? You never did anything about it in the past. The time for action is near!!!!
>
> 5. Do you really think that Nancy, Harry, Chris, Charlie, Barnie, et al, care about you? SEND THE MESSAGE-- You're FIRED.
>
>
> *** THIS IS NOT ABOUT POLITICAL PARTIES! IN 2010 YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO GET RID OF THE ENTIRE SITTING CONGRESS, Up to 1/3 OF THE SENATE, AND 100% OF THE HOUSE.
> The election in 2010 will be a sea-change to the mindset of any member of Congress who may survive.
>
>
> MAKE SURE YOU’RE STILL MAD IN NOVEMBER 2010 AND REMIND THE REPLACEMENTS NOT TO SCREW UP LIKE THE GUYS THEY ARE REPLACING.
>
>
> THIS IS A MUST DO!
>
> It is ok to forward this to your sphere of influence if you ARE finally tired of this abuse.

Sure are a lot of numbers bandied about in this e-mail. Always makes me a little suspicious when I have to go spend an hour hunting them down.

As with all the other recent "vote the bums out" mails, though: With whom will you replace them? That's just as important!

There is no way I'd ever willingly go back to
Republican majorities in the House and Senate.

That way lies madness.

So, yeah -- it IS all about political parties.

Remember how these bastards cut your benefits and didn't give you a cost of living adjustment... to your, you know, SOCIALIZED GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS, THE ONES WE SPEND ALL OF OUR FUCKING TIME RAILING AGAINST AND REPUBLICANS WANT TO DESTROY. Fucking morons.

This one has been debunked so many different ways it's scary. The COLA thing had nothing to do with a congressional vote. Social Security is already set to have a COLA when inflation goes up. Inflation didn't go up and so therefore the COLA increase didn't come. From what I can remember, Obama actually did try to get one anyway, but I can't remember what happened there. Should be on Fact Check if anyone cares to Google it. I'm on my way out the door.

I actually agree with this.

Abolish both house. Leave Bernie Sanders, Al Franken, and Barney Frank. We'll have healthcare and be out of Iraq on November 5th

That's not fair, the GOP needs a rep too. I nominate Olympia Snowe.

Can we keep Alan Grayson too?

I thought all these wingtards hated socialism like the dickens, so they should be happy that they're getting screwed on meidcare and social security COLAs, and whathaveyous.

Nuts.

Well, I'd like to see some new blood in the Senate and House, as well, but I suspect that the politics of those I'd like to get in would be different from what teabaggers say that they want and vote for. OOOF.

Yep G.ood O.le D.ad sent me this one too!

Thanks for this website! I'm still busting a nut over the name of this blogsite...wish I thought of it myself.

So anyways, in regards to the pay raise issue: I did a little research yesterday and found Rep. Mitchel from AZ site...Congress allready voted down the FY 2010(10/2009 - 10/2010) and are reconsidering the same bill again for FY 2011(10/2010 - 10/2011), with of course, help from my "Liberatarian" Friend, Ron Paul who is/was a major co-sponsor on both bills.

Where has all the common sense in this country evaporated into?
