Fw: Moron's

And finally to set a new record:

"Cash for Clunkers" was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009!

So with a perfect 100% failure rate and a record that proves that "services" you shove down our throats are failing faster and faster, you want Americans to believe you can be trusted with a government-run health care system? 15% of our economy? Are you crazy?

It is now official: You are morons.

The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775 - you have had 234 years to get it right; it is broke.

Social Security was established in 1935 - you have had 74 years to get it right; it is broke.

Fannie Mae was established in 1938 - you have had 71 years to get it right; it is broke..

War on Poverty started in 1964 - you have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor"; it hasn't worked.

Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965 - you've had 44 years to get it right; they're broke

Freddie Mac was established in 1970 - you have had 39 years to get it right; it is broke

Trillions of dollars in the massive political payoff called the TARP bill of 2009 shows NO sign of working.

Truly, the inmates are running the asylum! (And what does this say about voters who put such pond scum in office...hmmm? Maybe we need to let others in on this brilliant record before 2010 and just vote against incumbents.)

So once again... it's official, we are ALL morons, I don't care what your political leanings are.

"Haw Haw, Cash for Clunkers was such a success it's a failure!" is the new "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded."

Missing from this list is the War on Drugs, the Boycott of Cuba, the Sanctions on Iraq and Iran, abstinence-only sex education...expensive failures, yet popular with wingnuts.

If it hasn't made the world perfect yet, it's a failure. "Gimme me money! And make my husband lose some weight, too!"

USPS has been a reliable success for 234 years. If it is "broke" it is because the anti-government GOP cut funding. Then they point and say "see? it's broke!!" Let me reiterate: USPS has worked for over TWO HUNDRED YEARS.

Social Security is solvent and one of the greatest pieces of legislature in US history.

Fannie Mae, ditto.

The War on Poverty was a huge success and a boon to the economy. The poverty level took a distinct downturn, and then zoomed back even higher as soon as Reagan took office and declared war on the poor, like all Republicans do.

Medicare and Medicaid are solvent through 2019, at least.

Freddie Mac is solvent.

TARP stabilized the markets. Downside risk is now manageable instead of apocalyptic.

So yeah, somebody is a moron. Please report to the nearest mirror and have a look.

Ok, we get it: you hate all government programs and you hate the people who are helped by them. I suppose you hate the military, too; since that's run by the government, as well.

Good God these people get dumber and more desperate by the day.

Cash for Clunkers didn't "go broke". It was a short term program. It was only supposed to last a few months, which it did. By all indications the program was incredibly popular. This is a good thing.

Of course, this is a no win situation. If the Cash for Clunkers program hadn't been so popular and used up all its allotted money, these same idiots would be pointing to it as a failed program which didn't live up to government expectations. Classic example of "Head I win, tails you lose".

Didn't everything "go broke" last year -- under Bush? Indeed many of us are morons, but not all of us, but thanks for the invite.

To paraphrase the great Obi-Wan Kenobi (J-Tattooine):

"Who is the greater moron, the moron or the fool who spells the plural form with an apostrophe-s?"

Yes Marc...you beat me to it. If you're going to call people morons, make sure you double-check your apostrophe usage. Morans!

Don't you mean moran's?

How do you even talk about a program going broke if its whole purpose is to give away a flat amount of money? I mean, if it was supposed to have a constant cash flow, yes, but if you've got a billion dollars and you give away a billion dollars...how can you fail at that?

It was mainly my Republicant friends and relatives who raced out their doors (run don't walk) to turn in their clunkers for cash. Every single one of them was crowing about the "good deal" they got. Yet it ALSO would not surprise me in the least if they forwarding around this dispeptic diatribe.

As one post said, with contards it will always be: heads we win, tails you lose.

They will never be pleased, no matter what.

P.S. The post office has done a great job overall; there are some issues right now, which are to be expected in a changing economy going thru a recession. This is another one of those false canards that are being bandied about to convince the already brainwashed that gov't "doesn't work."
