This is actually true, according to Snopes! :o)
Black hurricanes....
Well, it appears our African-American friends have found yet something else to be pissed about. A black congresswoman (this would be Sheila Jackson Lee, of Houston ), reportedly complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian sounding names.
She would prefer some names that reflect African-American culture such as Chamiqua, Tanisha, Woeisha, Shaqueal, and Jamal. I am NOT making this up!
She would also like the weather reports to be broadcast in 'language' that street people can understand because one of the problems that happened in New Orleans was, that black people couldn't understand the seriousness of the situation, due to the racially biased language of the weather report.
I guess if the weather person says that the winds are going to blow at 140+ MPH, that's too hard to understand!!
I can hear it now...........
Wazzup, mutha-fukkas! Hehr-i-cane Chamiqua be headin' fo' yo ass like Leroy on a crotch rocket!
Bitch be a category fo'! So, turn off dem chitlins, grab yo' chirren, leave yo crib, and head fo' de nearest FEMA office fo yo FREE shit.

WOW RW email-writers watch comedy central comedians!
Nothing wrong with using African-American names, or any other names, for that matter.
But, as always, conservatives have to be outraged over something...anything.
As usual, READ the entire snopes article to get the TRUTH. yes, Texas State Representative Lee criticized the weather establshment in 2003 for not including AA names for hurricanes (so what?); that was the year that Hurricanes started using French and Spanish names, in addition to traditional white American names.
WOO-WOOOO and wowie, let me get my panties in a big ole bunch about THAT!!! Bc I have nothing else to talk about except that I'm racist and I want EVERYONE to know what a giant asscrack jerkwad bigot I am (and am so very proud of it).
The nasty little thing tacked onto the end (eg, the "ghetto speak") cost at least one Georgia state employee their job (YAY, justice served for once) for passing it around, in a typically wingtarded "joke" email to all of his wingtarded racist buddies) in 2005.
So this is now 6 years old "news," and as usual, the Snopes article is presented inaccurately in the RWF email (no suprise).
Nothing to see here except blatant racism as usual. Move along now...
And with that, we lay to rest the mortal remains of the "Party of Lincoln" defense. Goodnight, sweet non sequitur, and flights of lily-white angels sing thee to thy rest.
I think it's the smiley that pisses me off the most. Like if Strom Thurmond punctuated his filibuster with "lol" and "stfu darkie"
durr haha we're just all havin fun(making fun of black people)
This: "our African-American friends" is a stroke of genius. The most loved of the "I'm not a racist" defenses right there in the first sentence.
Although, now that I have seen a RWF demonstrating some forethought, I am expected them to do better.
The next one better start with "I got this here forward from a black friend of mine who found it funny and I think you will too, if you have a sense of humor and if America still has free speech, especially since it isn't about race at all." Then they would have all the bases covered.
August 3, 2016. I just got it again today.
