But if you decide not to eat at Chik-Fil-A, you're a nefarious ne'er-do-well who should shut your mouth.
Well, I suppose conservatives aren't being hypocritical if they believe they have to be fighting "the enemy" by buying fast food.
Very interesting, and helpful as well. Unusual from a right wing email forward.
I note that from that list, and with very few deviations, that all the places that offer high quality food, products, or stores that treat their employees well donate to the democratic party ---- Whereas all the places that hawk bland and vapid food and drink; the stuff that give chain restaurants and mass market beer such a bad name, and stores that are notoriously employee unfriendly cast their lot with the GOP.
I note the Walmart/Costco divide. My own RWD actually likes Costco much more as a shopper, but grouses about them "being left wing" and likes Walmart's business model much more.
No wonder red state America seems to be home to the tawdriest cheapest junk from big-box stores and rife with bad food and drink. More puzzling however is how members of the working poor still vote for their oppressors as long as they say all the right things about god and guns.
It is an interesting list, and for the record, rightwingers usually forward something informative like this periodically. So kudos to them on this effort.
Agree with Mr. Creosote's "take" on what's listed, plus also what First Anon said. So-called "progressives" were summarily blasted by the rightwing propoganda wurlizter for protesting the Cathy Family's donation to Gay Hate groups and for boycotting their crappy Chick-Fil-A "food" emporiums.
Yet, hypocritically this RWF appears to be instructing the gullible masses to boycott, or at least to consider carefully, patronizing certain brands/vendors/establishments based on which pol party they donate to.
Apparently, IOKIYAR always applies bc what's sauce for the goose (rightwingers boycotting supposedly "left" establishments) is not meant to be sauce for the gander (progressives boycotting rightwing establishments).
Color me unsuprised.
The actual truth is that many businesses tend to donate to BOTH parties and often in more equal measure than first meets the eye. I don't have time to research this, but it wouldn't surprise me if most of the companies listed donated more equally to each party than what's being reported here.
As to Mr. Creosote's dad & his feelings about Costco v. Walmart: yeah, ain't it a bitch? I hear the same baloney from my rightwing family.
How dare Jim Sinegal treat his workers fairly and pay them adequately??? The horror, the horror!!
How dare Jim Sinegal make it a goal to buy only quality merchandise no matter where it's made, rather than relying almost solely on Chinese slave labor to produce inferior crap products to be sold a low prices (but then fall apart)??
The noive of some people!!
Surprised about McDonalds. Ray Kroc was their founder, and was a major donor to the Democratic Party, which he wife continued after his death i 1974.
So Republicans get to eat shitty food, drink shitty beer, stay in shitty roach motels, and wear shitty clothes made in China with teddy bears and shit on them?
Works for me!
Great summation 'Marc with a C'
You've condensed what I tried to say effectively and humorously.
