Rush Limbaugh is boycotting?

What about all the hillbilly Methheads that go there? They like to fancy themselves as conservatives.

Cleaner and Drug Free? ...wingers have a rich fantasy life which, unfortunately, substitutes for reality.

I do find it helpful when a company goes out of its way to broadcast the political positions which it is financially supporting. It was an idiotic business move, of course. But that's to be expected when the company in question, apparently, is being run on Biblical principals rather than business ones.

Geez, are the Cathy family sweating bullets over lost income or what?? This stinks of desperation to me. If donating boatloads of money to homophobic hate groups is just so A-OK with the Cathys & all their "Christiany" food emporium patrons, then why do they need to diss and be *hateful* to so-called "liberals," who are, after all, merely pointing out FACTS about how the Cathy's choose to spend their money.

I thought the addage said: never let them see you sweat! Think Mr. Cathy's sweatin' up a storm there.

Agree with ferschitz. If patrons of CFA & the Cathy family truly believe that what they are doing is morally correct, etc, then why are they being disrespectful and hateful to their supposed "detractors." If you truly believe you have the moral high ground, then state your case and hold your head high.

IMO, this is not serving the "case" of CFA, the Cathy family or the homophobic hate groups that they support with money made from patrons of CFA.

I love every time I see these calls for boycotts, love ins, sit ins, kiss ins or whatever the f*ck as protest to . If one is going to base decisions on where to work, eat, shop, bank, buy gas or whatever one better start learning to live off the grid and walk or bike to wherever one wants to go, because I would postulate that every company supports something that is going to piss one off. All the posting and mouthing off is nothing more than posturing and fabricated outrage.

Anonymous said...

Sorry...used the wrong characters in the post above in regards to "protesting some cause". My bad.

Fake sign....Photoshop!!!!!!! Get a fucking clue Thx 4 Fish!!!!!!!! Seesh, God damnit!!!! Enough already, moonbat!!!"

Ya, that whole "Civil Rights Movement" based on boycotts and sit ins was a bunch of crap.

Not to mention that whole "American Revolution", thing. Bunch of hippie whiners who never accomplished anything.

Do me a favor: The next time you are planning to go out for dinner, do some research to find out not which restaurant offers the food and service you prefer or can afford, but which ones give their Muslim employees Fridays off, their Jewish employees Saturdays off, and their Christian employees Sundays off. When you find such a restaurant, don´t hesitate to go there and have a good dinner. Nobody will have the right to stop you or criticize your decision.

Keep your head where it belongs. Politics is not all that matters.

Anonymous said...

@Anon

I'd rather patronize a restaurant that doesn't actively give money to restrict the civil rights of others.

It will be interesting to see which side the majority is on. Pro-Chick-fil-A or not. Of course majority means little to the left-wingers as long as they can find a like-minded judge.

I'll be so happy when this shit blows over. I miss the days when people had "real" problems and a bunch of panty waste weren't soiling themselves every time someone on the right opened their mouths. You know Chick-fil-A is a Christian organization founded by a Christian man. Of course Cathy is going to support the biblical definition of marriage and family!! Also, gays are executed in countries that we buy oil from. I don't see them calling for boycotts from these companies.

On a side note: I think if Jesus came back today he would love to have a Chick-fil-A sandwich with a same sex married couple and discuss it all, but Jesus was far more reasonable than most "religious" people.

"Opponents of the company's stance are planning "Kiss Mor Chiks" for Friday, when they are encouraging people of the same sex to show up at Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country and kiss each other."

Real mature.

gruaud and ferschitz are going to show up in their pink banana hammock speedos and in-line skates and SMOOCH??????? wooooo-hooooo ;-)

Go for it, guys!!!!! Post a pic for all us "Conservatives" to see....

Damn judges, upholding the constitution and protecting civil rights. Who the hell do they think they are, a co-equal branch of government?

And yes, its Democrats who have spent the last 3 years denying that a duly elected President is legitimate but that 41 Senate votes trumps 59.

Damn wimps, worrying about civil rights. Can't we go back to the days of "real" problems, like gay teletubbies and a man getting a blowjob from an intern?

Of course Cathy is going to support the biblical definition of marriage and family!!

Good for him. For the upteenth time, he's using his money to make life worse for other people, so some of us have decided not to give him any of our money so he can do that. I don't see what's so hard to understand about this.

I don't see them calling for boycotts from these companies.

Ya, all that environmentalism and emphasis on renewable energy and protests against the actions of the oil industry never happened.

Says the guy who, one sentence later, writes a lame bit of gay bashing.

I bet Dan Cathy did a spit-take when someone showed him that sign.

Mkay... if you find all this "soiling" by so-called "panty wastes" so tedious & tiresome, then why are your wasting your time making this comment here? No one forced you to read this site, and no one force you to comment?

If it's all so stupid or whatever, why bother to even read this?

Seems like there's a bit of contradiction for you, and perhaps you're not being all that honest with yourself.

Some people find this situation worthy of comment and discussion because the civil rights of gay citizens are being infringed by the Cathy family decisions. If you think that it's stupid to be concerned about this, then why comment at all??

What's that about being "mature"? I so think you don't know the definition of that term.

Funny how you're seem VERY aware about "banana hammock speedos" though... hmmmmmm....

Seems to me that we have some pretty real problems right now, genius. And your side has caused most of them.

Can't you find another country to fuck up besides this one?

Oh, wait, you do THAT, too.

Funny how conservatives are whining about how terrible or stupid or a waste of time it is that leftwingers are pointing out the homophobia of a particular conservative business establishment.

No one on the left is ever, under any circumstances, supposed to complain about or point out hate or injustice or bigotry or sexism or whatever as exhibited usually (not always) by rightwingers. Why? Just because, so STFU.

Yet the bulk of RWFs - as can be seen here at this blog site - are an unceasing litany of complaints about the alleged perfidy of the left, these mostly as exemplified by that Kenyan Nazi Socialist Commie, Obama, who "stole" the election by lying about his place of birth.

So it seems like conservatives are entitled to bitch, vetch, whine, moan, throw temper tantrums, etc, about any little thing that Rush tells them to do, no matter how stupid, illogical or not grounded in any facts it is.

But liberals are NEVER ever supposed to complain about anything ever under any circumstances just because: STFU!

amirite?

I don't understand all the conservative jeering here. For all the noise they make about individuals' rights, if they disagree with a person, they don't seem to support freedom of speech and the right to spend one's money as one sees fit.

Doesn't seem very "conservative" to me.

gruaud said...

I remember when conservatives were sane.

Sure, they were still management vs labor and hated non-whites, and wrapped themselves in the flag while waving the Bible and fomented war at every opportunity, and hated on gays and repressed women, and, well...

Ok, I lied: they were never sane. That's why Regnery press publishes books about how liberals are really the insane, because, if you can't beat 'em, slag the living FUCK out of them.

But my conservative bestest buddies here are welcome to tell me about the golden years of conservatism. The good old days.

Please don't spare any details.

And cue crickets in 3...2...1....

Which HATE GROUPS does Chick-fil-A give money to? I'm so confused and my head is spinning.

Which HATE GROUPS does Chick-fil-A give money to?

Family Research Council, classified as a hate group by the SPLC.

Groups they support listed here. You make your own decision as to whether they're "hate groups" or not.

Okay...here's my take on this:

I support gay civil unions, I also support the first amendment rights of a private business owner.

The ONLY problem I have with this whole thing are the liberal democrat mayors of Chicago, Boston, SF, who have vowed to use the power of government to ban a business from their city. This is highly illegal and directly against the US Constitution and they know it. (Boston's mayor took his statement back after his own city attorney told him he was directly against the 1st amendment)

What's sickening is that Democrats don't care about your Constitutional rights, they will gladly step on your free speech rights to advance their liberal ideology and use government to take sides in something it has no business in.

I have no problem with gays marrying, or kissing in public, I also have no problem with Christians who believe otherwise and who want to use their profits to support Focus on the Family which is what Cathy supports. This is a free country....both sides are fully entitled to eat, speak, spend their money where they want.

The problem is when government gets in the way and chooses sides. Bans on gay marriage you say? Those were voted on DIRECTLY by the people...not a legislature of some mayor or governor.

Anonymous said...

I find it disgusting that the mayors of Boston and Chicago would abuse their offices in an attempt to keep a chicken store out of their respective cities. When they tell their constituents "don't patronize that chicken place" I'm reminded of the National Socialists (NAZI's) who ran Germany in the 1930's who said, "don't patronize those Jews!" I see no difference.

Bullshit. The ACLU filed a brief in support of Chick-fil-a in Chicago. Rahm acted stupidly and his actions will be stopped.

And while we're on the subject, what do you call it when Republicans use the government to enshrine religion based discrimination into the law and trample the civil rights of others? Do you find that equally "sickening"?

Then you're a idiot and probably beyond help.

Anonymous said...

I agree, which is why the government shouldn't discriminate, including in the matter of marriage.

Bans on gay marriage you say? Those were voted on DIRECTLY by the people...not a legislature of some mayor or governor.

And? What does that have to do with anything? If the people directly vote to enact a law that's unconstitutional, that law should be struck down. Protections of minority rights are one of the things that make this whole "democracy" thing work.

Good: at least there is something more akin to "discussion" here, rather than the "nanny nanny boo boo" stuff that typically goes on.

Thanks to those who put a little thought into their commentary.

However, a recent ConservaAnon really needs to learn a bit about Godwin's Law:

Seriously suggest reading this link.

While I loathe Rahm Emanuel, comparing him to Hitler is really way beyond the pale. Get a grip.

Maybe if all the heterophobes would boycott oil companies because the majority of them would put to death a person found out as a same-sex. Talk about "haters".

If one gave crystal meth to a bunch of monkeys and chained them to typewriters and told them to type anything, AND after they were finished, they should fling their own poo at the typed pages....the result would still be more coherent than that comment.

While I know some people have complaints about Focus on the Family, that's not the same thing as the Family Research Council.

Family Research Council is different from Focus on the Family.

It's my understanding that the Cathy family donates to FRC. FRC is considered by many to be a hate group, much like Focus on the Family.

Same difference, imo.

SPLC is a crap orginization that should be outlawed because of their LIES. Check out this take on their deceptions--http://georgiaheritagecouncil.org/site2/commentary/davis-scroggins_SPLC_exposed081809.phtml

Anonymous said...

"SPLC...should be outlawed because of their LIES."
You won't find THAT idea in the constitution! (OK maybe the Russian constitution)

Anonymous said...

Ya, the SPLC sucks. All they ever did was take on the Klan. Bunch of busybodies!

You seriously expect me to take the word of a group with "heritage" in its title as legitimate? One look at their website reveals them to be a bunch of far right confederate apologists who insist that slavery "wasn't really that bad". And I'm suppose to take their word that a long time champion of civil rights against people just like them is bogus?

Does. Not. Compute.
