FW: Contrasts?

Subject: FW: Contrasts?

This is the difference.
There is no "i" in  Team.

George W. Bush speech after capture of Saddam:
The success of yesterday's mission is a tribute to our men and women now serving in Iraq . The operation was based on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the dictator's footprints in a vast country. The operation was carried out with skill and precision by abrave fighting force .  Our servicemen and women and our coalition allies have faced many dangers in the hunt for members of the fallen regime, and in their effort to bring hope and freedom to the Iraqi people. Their work continues, and so do the risks. Today, on behalf of the nation , I thank the members of our Armed Forces and I congratulate 'em.

Barack Obama speech after killing of bin Laden:
And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta , the director of the CIA , to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda, even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network. Then, last August, after years of painstaking work by our intelligence community, was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread to ground. I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of Pakistan . And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough intelligence to take action, and authorized an operation to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. Today, at my direction , the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad , Pakistan .

Of course, it doesn't matter that Osama was a legitimate target while Saddam was not a player in 9/11 and had no actual WMDs to fret over. What matters is that Bush didn't use the first-person singular as much.

Not to mention the fact that if the mission had gone sideways, I'm sure every one of the Right WingNuts would have been more than forgiving, and blamed the debacle on the 'armed forces', leaving Obama out of the blame game.

Get over it fuckers...Obama got him.

A good example of why it is pointless to discuss politics with anyone from 'Team Bush'. Lots of flag waving and cheering, and nothing but silly nonsense like who uses the personal pronoun least wins (something like a golf score?)

Bush speaks about the capture of a president of a sovereign state which we invaded by choice, leaving thousands of Americans and innocent Iraqis dead.

Obama speaks about the killing of a man who was personally tied to the deaths of thousands of Americans.

Contrast, indeed.

Yeah, rightwingnuts absolutely DESTEST it that the dreaded black Obama actually got Osama bin Laden (well, or at least that's the story), whilst their hero, GW Bush, did not.

I could go on, but I won't. Suffice it to say that it's quite spurious to compare personal pronouns in how these 2 Pres. gave speeches, as if it, you know, *proves* something.

Let us not forget GW Bush in his codpiece with the giant "Mission Accomplished" sign on the aircraft carrier, lessee... WHEN was that?? Oh yeah: May 1 *2003.* And here we are in Sept of *2011*... and tell me now: how "accomplished" has that "mission" been???

Pffft! Blowhards. Got nothin'. Sore losers.
