"including from the White House"  Oh really??

Please join us in this FLY THE FLAG campaign and PLEASE forward this email to your friends and family asking them to also forward it. We have less than 2 weeks and counting to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America.
If you forward this email to least 11 people and each of those people do
the same.  You get the idea!
On Sunday, September 11th, 2011, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States . Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this tenth anniversary of one our country's worst tragedies. We do this honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.
In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity.  Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds, including from the White House.
Action Plan:
So, here's what we need you to do ...
(1) Forward this email to everyone you know (at least 11 people). Please don't be the one to break this chain.  Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.
(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11.  Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year -round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.
Thank you for your participation.
God Bless You and God Bless America!

Would that be that Obama White House terrorism that killed
Osama bin Laden?

Oddly, I pass several homes and businesses on my way to work. I seel lots of flags flying, every day. Not sure where these 'all but disappeared' flags have gone that the sappy author mentions.

While I respect the flag, and those that died on 9/11...this email is silly.

How idiotic. People already fly the flag on 9/11. We've been doing it for 10 years now. We don't need some scolding email with shaming patriotism and requisite slam to Obama to remind us to do it.

That's why we should elect Rick Perry, who loves America so much that he threatened to secede from it.

Thanks last Anon: LOL! Yeah, ain't that a bitch? Rick Perry exhorted the masses to secede from the USA, but now Perry's a "great 'Murkin patriot" (replete with requisite "manly" photo of Perry in uniform toting the requisite gun), so we should vote for him for Pres of USA. What fracking joke, except for the yokels who buy this crap.

I see American flags all over the d*mn place. My overseas pals who visit here comment on how *many* flags are flown constantly in the USA.

What a load of patriotic-y tripe. Go fly a flag or maybe just: go fly a kite, ya losers!

P.S. Oh yes, let's get a swipe in at the BLACK Pres... somehow "everything" is his fault. I read that Mitt Romney was actually blaming Obama for the USA's economic decline in 2007 & 2008... yeah: you know, when REPUBLICAN GW Bush was Pres.

But whyever would a conservative let a few niggling pesky FACTS stand in their way of making themselves feel piously self-righteous by dissing the "other side"... duh.

Let it go, conservatives. You've milked that cow dry.

9/11 was a terrible tragedy that happened 10 years ago. Conservatives were quicker than lightning to play the blame game and divide the country and lash out at the world and stomp on the collective outpouring of solidarity. An unfortunate choice that continues to this day. Time to stop the overreacting jingoism, time to dry your crocodile tears, and time to grow up.

Time for our country to stop looking backwards, and time to start building our future.

As if what this country needs is more blind nationalist xenophobia.
