FW: worth reading

If you like him, great, if you don't, still consider him for president.   He has the history and the brains to get this country back.  Best of all he's an American.  In any event, please read this email.  .

In other words, we shouldn't abide by our Constitution as long as other countries don't abide by our Constitution, either.

And somebody thinks this guy should be president? Seriously?

Charlie - That's right! We should absolutely lower ourselves to their standards!

"And they lecture us about tolerance. If the people behind the Cordoba House were serious about religious toleration, they would be imploring the Saudis, as fellow Muslims, to immediately open up Mecca to all and immediately announce their intention to allow non-Muslim houses of worship in the Kingdom."

Okay, 1) Mecca = Muslim Vatican, which means they're picky about which religious services happen there. 2) Saudi Arabia is majority Sunnis, while Cordoba House is being built by Sufis, which are a offshoot of Shia. Newt should know this already, but different sects of Islam are not always on speaking terms with each other.

The opener absolutely cracks me up. "Even if you think he's the lowest form of invertebrate ever to have wriggled its way out of the slimy depths, consider voting for him...please? Or at least pass on this forward?"

Strange, Newt's "history" isn't what I'd consider Presidential caliber.

But more importantly, since Ground Zero is hallowed ground that no Muslim may deface, what are we going to do about the strip clubs that are closer?

This also jumps out:

"He has the history and the brains to get
this country back."

Hmmm. That sentence seems like it was
going somewhere and was chopped off at
the end.

Back to what? Or is it back from what?

Purposely vague, in order to snare people
who want to get America back on track
and also to provide a wink and a nudge
to the Confederates in the Attic.

if the people behind the Cordoba House were serious about religious toleration, they would be imploring the Saudis, as fellow Muslims, to immediately open up Mecca to all and immediately announce their intention to allow non-Muslim houses of worship in the Kingdom. They should be asked by the news media if they would be willing to lead such a campaign.

As you may know, the leader of the Cordoba initiative is Imam Rauf. Rauf has written extensively about the fissures between Islam and the west and how he thinks they might be cured. In his books, he has stated that he wants muslim societies to follow the exambe of the US and embrace capitalism, democracy, and tolerance. In other words, people like Imam Rauf are exactly the type of people who would embrace the idea (and even openly advocate the idea) of Saudi Arabia becoming a tolerant place. Unlike Newt and his followers, its not just empty rhetoric to Rauf. Its his life's work.

If you like him, great, if you don't, still consider him for president.

Not unless my other other choice is Sarah Palin. Otherwise, I swear to do everything is my power to keep Newt out of the Oval Office.

He has the history and the brains to get this country back.

Since when is resigning in disgrace something good for your resume?

Best of all he's an American.

Fuck you.

Well, duh! Of course America should be a Christian theocracy! It says so in the Constitution I've never read! Also, Christian theocracy was the goal of the founding fathers, no matter WHAT those pesky historians all say!

Freedom of Religion? Well, only when the rest of the world goes along with it should the US allow such things. What other American values should we leave up to other countries to validate?

Once again the amoral rightwing perverts reason, law and American values.

I wish I understood what "getting our country back" means????? Who took it?

Hooray4US said...

To last Anon post: "Who took" our country. Easy answer: that "n" word in the WHITE house. These fools want "their" (and note that our nation is only for "them" and no one else) country back from the dreaded minorities and eeevul liebruls (even tho Barack ain't liberal at all).

This is all such ginned up, orchestrated b.s. Getting tired of the Beckerheads demanding this, that and the other thing in the "belief" that they thought it up all by themselves with no coaching whatsoever from RushGlenn who are paid handsomely by Rupert Murdoch & the Koch brothers to steer idiotic whitestock fogies into voting against their own interests.

Newt Gingrich is an excresence best "left behind."

It's too bad bc there's been Mosques built all around this country for years with little to no protest, and even with some support.

Now that a Black Democrat is POTUS, suddenly these rat bastards slither out from under their rocks (I'm looking at you, Franklin Graham) to bitch and moan about Muslims and their Mosques and burn the Holy Q'uran.

It's really disgusting and despicable that these WHITE @ssholes feel so free to diss other nations and other religions.

Look in the mirror, I want to say, and clean up your own house first. It's an Augean stable at this point.

"You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the mote out of your brother's eye."

What a load of nonsensical but incendiary baloney. Who's asking anyone to "surrender." Frankly this "onward Xtian soldiers" attitude is mighty old and abused.

I'm with Hooray on this one. Try this Bible website:

http://dougbrittonbooks.com/onlinebiblestudies-personalgrowthanddevelopment/changeyourselffirst-takethebeamoutofyourowneye.php

Focus on the changes YOU should make, not on what others "should" do (according to you). Sheesh. Read your Bibles, you Pharisees! You profess to being such amazing Christians. How about following what Jesus taught for a change??

Wait--now we should base our actions on what a foreign government does or doesn't do?

It's so hard to keep track!

Seriously, I'm supposed to figure out what Saudi Arabia is doing in order to determine what US citizens and the US gov't should do. Who wrote this? Do contards actually think this way? Maybe I don't want the answer. This one's really pathetic.

Boy, this is my first excursion into deep-seated liberalism. And I am glad I did for I wondered who those 52% were who voted for Obama's "Hope and Change."
It also answers why liberals are allowed any obscenity against anything they oppose, but real Americans are deprived of this luxury because we are "racist, homo-phobes" who need elitists to control our lives because we are too stupid. Thank you all. And you don't have to thank my father and brother who died in military service so you can spread your vitriol. On behalf of them, you're welcome.

If you think you are the only "real Americans" then you are too sgtupid to entrust with the powers of government. Grow up.

And you don't have to thank my father and brother who died in military service so you can spread your vitriol.

They fought to defend the Bill of Rights, meaning they fought for the right of muslims to build Mosques in downtown Manhattan! For their sacrifices, I thank them.

I also thank all the others who have served and fought and bled and died our Rights, including many in my own family. Furthermore, I would consider it a disgrace to all of their efforts if we let hatred and bigotry win out over the rule of law.

We must be using different web browsers. I didn't see anything of the sort. I saw a hateful, ignorant email being given the proper consideration it deserved.

Maybe your computer has a virus?

Liberals are the real Americans, John. And it seems they love the US more than than conservatives -- who only pretend to love the US so they can score political points on the rest of us. It's called 'holier than thou'. Look it up.

And playing the "my relatives died in the military" card is also 'holier than thou'. We all have relatives who have served and died.

Can't play that card anymore, sorry.

But come back anytime if you want to defend these e-mails and debate actual issues.
