Pat Condell is a British stand-up comedian, but this video isn't
comic, it's pure truth, and utterly brilliant.  His reaction to the
nauseating 9/11 Mosque plan is well worth viewing  -

It takes a Brit to put into words what we should be saying.

Oh joy.

Some highlights from the video:

-The Mosque is "a few yards" from Ground Zero.

-Its actually a "towering, triumphant mosque". Not sure if he was referring to the planned swimming pool or the day care center, but apparently these things were meant as insults to the victims.

-How dare people be allowed to worship freely.

-They should move the Mosque to the UN, since its run by Osama Bin Laden apparently.

-Terrorism is only possible because of Islam. There are apparently no non-Islamic terrorists.

-Islam promises an impossible afterlife. I wonder if he thinks the same thing about other religions, in which case how can die hard Christians endorse his views without calling their own religion stupid?

-We don't know where the funding is coming from so "ooga booga" scary funding source.

-Islam is a bigger threat than Nazis ever were, and Islam hides behind the shield of religion. Since its not really a religion, I guess.

-Islam is evil because it divides the world into "Us" and "Them". Yup, I know of no other worldviews that make divisions like that...

-Islam hates everything that America stands for, and any Muslim who disputes that is a liar. So when Imam Rauf writes books praising America and holding it up as an example for the Muslim world to imitate, apparently he's full of shit.

-Its called the Cordoba House because of the triumphalist Mosque built in Cordoba. All that talk about Cordoba being a city where all religions lived together in peace and understanding is hogwash.

-The mosque will be some kind of Trojan Horse, out of which will spring a legion of terrorists.

-The mosque will somehow open on Sept 11th, 2011. This despite the fact that construction has not started and the project is said to take 3 years to build. Magic muslim time warp construction!

-They should build their evil mosque somewhere more appropriate, like "Death Valley". Wokka Wokka!

Then you have 600 user comments giving this guy a rimjob for sounding like such a hateful idiot.

Thanks, Anon, for doing the "dirty work" and saving me the trouble.

This ginned up "controversy" about the not-Mosque not-at-ground-zero, which is not sacred ground, has been devised mainly by Pirate Murdoch to pit contards against other small folks (aka Muslims). All part of the b.s. dumbfackery to keep the small people from realizing who's really the enemy, which are the billionaires everywhere ripping us off.

Why some Brit decided to throw himself into the muck is beyond me, but once again, note that contards are willing to praise some foreigner when they agree with their viewpoints. When a foreigner esposes viewpoints contrary to contard "wisdom," the righties will be shrieking that they have no rights to tell real 'murkins anything.

Meh: more of the same old, same old.

Actually, we do know where the funding is coming from - it's coming from Fox News' second largest stockholder.

Jon Stewart had the story last night:

Hooray for the Brits! Except not their healthcare system, and not their gun-free society, and not their socialism, but ya know their Muslim-haters are great!

Saudi Prince Al-Waleed is a $3 billion stakeholder in Rupert Murdoch's Fox News Corp. As Yahoo News reports, Prince Al-Waleed has directly funded two of Rauf’s projects to the tune of more than $300,000; Rauf is behind the Parc 51 Community Center.

Wonder who the righties are gonna hate? Fake "Nooz" or Parc 51. Oh yeah: IOKIYAR (almost forgot).

In related news, the Koch brothers fund Frank Gaffney’s Center for Security Policy, which owns the domain name stopthe911mosque.com. Koch brothers also fund the Tea Baggers. What. a. coincidence.

Yeah, I saw this a while ago. In ratinalist and atheist communities online, (Where I dwell) He is held up as a reasonable fellow. After this bout of hate-mongering, I hope to see folks at Scienceblogs and the JREF re-evaluate this nimrod joker.

Uh, if this guy's British, shouldn't he be REALLY aware of what was going on in Ireland a few decades ago?
