Allegedly a Reagan-era program. What a surprise.
There's not much reliable (non-Alex Jones) information to go on here, but I'd just like to say, "I told you so" to everyone who, right up until Obama was elected, believed the (conservative) government could do no wrong.
This article is - shock & awe! - somewhat fact-based. Although it makes a passing stab at blaming everything on Obama, it really cannot.
Glad to see conservatives may finally be awakening to the great SpyNet that's been in the works and steadily growing for decades. And yes: this is one of the many reasons why I do not like, support or endorse Obama, or frankly, anyone with a big fat "D" beside their name.
For me, there's only one UniParty, and they're all doing the same stuff... much of it not so good for the 99%.
Stay stuck in your partisan pom-pom waving, if you feel like, but what Snowden did was pull back the curtain on a bunch of things that YOUR tax dollar$ are paying for: to monitor & spy on YOU. Do you feel better just because the President has a "D" or an "R" beside his or her name??
I don't. This article is somewhat worth reading, albeit you won't learn a whole lot more than what Snowden is already telling the world.
Wake up and listen.
Everybody should be appalled by this.
But some people who are bitching the loudest were the biggest supporters of NSA, FISA, and other court-unsupervised snoopery. Of course, Bush was president back then and the GOP was going to be in power forever. Karl Rove said so.
And now we find out about Main Core, which was indeed at the behest of Reagan and his evil imp, Cheney...done so quietly that the story took over two decades to break.
Unfortunately, once these monsters are created and unleashed, they're pretty much unstoppable.
