Fwd: Today's Lesson in irony

Subject: Fwd: Today's Lesson in irony

Lesson in irony.

The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is actually proud of the fact it is distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals."

Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.

This ends today's lesson.

Today's lesson: Conservatives aren't really the party of Jesus.

Geez, wingnut welfare for rightwing think tank shills & pundits is on high performance these days. Must be nice to have a "job" where you get paid to keep recycling the same tired old bullshit lies as LOL-jokes.

We've also seen this one several times before. Wait? What? It's summer vacay time and even hacks get a paid vacay? Must be nice. Lotta citizens been laid offa their jobs and can't find another one. So let's send out the same tired old "jokes" that tell wingnuts that everyone who doesn't work is a lazy loser.

Yeah, yeah: that's the ticket...

Today's lesson: Franson's joke did not equate people who are dependent on food stamps with animals. It was clearly intended to illustrate that people should be SMARTER and BETTER than animals.

"Anonymous" really should read 2 Thessalonians 3:6-12.

Yes, it did.

It was clearly intended to illustrate that people should be SMARTER and BETTER than animals.

You mean like by taking care of each other and helping each other out when times are tough? I think
that does make us smarter and better than animals.

Animals don't do that. In the animal kingdom the strong take and kill what they like, while the weak and old and sick and young are left to fend for themselves. Conflict, theft, suffering and privation are constants, and the only thing that determines the winners is who is bigger, faster and stronger at a given moment.

I know this sounds like a Republican wet dream, but frankly I think I'll pass.

I'll see your Thessolonians and raise you Matthew 25:35. You know, the words that Jesus (supposedly) actually said, not some letter from a guy who never actually met Jesus.

Umm, humans aren't animals?

This ends todays lesson for dumbasses who think that humans are animals. (Only in the technical sense)

Umm, yes, they are?

Humans (Homo sapiens) are primates of the family Hominidae. Nice that you try to qualify by tossing in the facile term 'technical sense'. You still get an F.

It's called science. Catch up.

Amen . Anonymous I agree 100% with you .

Oh baby some of you are certainly animals.

I won't comment on the two (99% sure it's the same guy) sneaks on this thread, except to say they're sneaks. Fake Christians are the sneakiest of sneaks. That's because their agenda is toxic to most Americans and they fully understand this as they practice their smiles in front of a mirror while they try to impose their crap.

Google 'stealth dominionist' and see what you find about these assholes.

Well, I guess I did comment a little more than I said I would.

Come back any time, Spanish Inquisition. I actually expect you.
