None of them died for the Mexican Flag.
Everyone died for the U.S. flag.
In Texas , a student raised a Mexican flag on a school flag pole; another student took it down. Guess who was expelled...the kid who took it down.
Kids in high school in California were sent home this year on Cinco de Mayo because they wore T-shirts with the American flag printed on them.
Enough is enough.
The below e-mail message needs to be viewed by every American; and every American needs to stand up for America .
We've bent over to appease the America-haters long enough.
I'm taking a stand.
I'm standing up because the hundreds of thousands who died fighting in wars for this country, and for the U.S. flag can't stand up.
And shame on anyone who tries to make this a racist message.
Let me make this perfectly clear!
THIS IS MY COUNTRY!
And, because I make This statement
DOES NOT
Mean I'm against immigration!!!
YOU ARE WELCOME HERE, IN MY COUNTRY!

I deleted the E-Mail and took you off my list.
Now would you PLEASE PLEASE take me off your mailing list.
Welcome! To come through legally:
A task which is essentially impossible unless you are highly skilled or have family already here. The millions of low skill immigrants who are exploited American business would NEVER get in legally.
1. Get a sponsor!
Who?
2. Get a place to lay your head!
3. Get a job!
4. Live By OUR Rules!
5. Pay YOUR Taxes!
Most illegal aliens do ALL of these things. They live here, work here, pay taxes here, and do their best to avoid causing trouble, lest they attract unwanted attention.
6. Learn the LANGUAGE like immigrants have in the past!!!
A fantasy. Many immigrants in "the past" never learned english. And many who move here now DO learn English, simply as a survival skill.
7. Please don't demand that we hand over our lifetime savings of Social Security Funds to you.
NEVER has this happened! A classic case of fear mongering which gets things totally backward. Immigrants don't just get social security because they are here. In fact, most of them pay INTO social security through payroll taxes but will never see a dime of that return because they aren't in the system and can't claim benefits. Its actually a boon to SS that immigrants are here!
Now if you are really worried about SS, maybe you should worry about the current Republican party, which seems pretty hell bent on destroying it, or at least threatening to do so in order to turn it into a political football.
When will AMERICANS STOP giving away THEIR RIGHTS???
When did they start? What rights has been taken away?
But it seems no one cares about the AMERICAN CITIZEN that's being offended!
Ah yes, they poor put upon majority with all the power and money. Such a sad story. Reminds me of white southerners after the Civil War, so oppressed by those evil former slaves.
"My great great grandfather watched as his friends died in the Civil War, my grandfather watched as his friends died in WW II, and my father watched as my friends died in Vietnam.
None of them died for the Mexican Flag."
No, but I'll bet your great great great grandfather was at Buena Vista back in '47. Remember? It was the war where we got California, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas from the Mexicans. A lot of those Spanish-speakers never crossed the border, the border crossed them.
Same goes for the French in Louisiana and Maine and the Puerto Ricans. Ordering them to suddenly "speak English" when we have no national language and annexed their land is not the action of a victimized American identity, but an act of colonization.
"My great great grandfather watched as his friends died in the Civil War, my grandfather watched as his friends died in WW II, and my father watched as my friends died in Vietnam. None of them died for the Mexican Flag. Everyone died for the U.S. flag."
Well...only if your great-great grandfather was a Yankee - you know, a nigger-lovin' northerner! - did he watch anyone die for the "American" flag. If you're a southerner, chances are he watched people die for the Confederate flag - you know, the treasonous rebels.
As for your grandfather watching people die for the American flag, well, that's a little simplistic too. Despite Pearl Harbor, Americans weren't really in much danger over here on this continent. There were more complicated reasons having to do with international stability for the US to get involved in Europe's war. Americans didn't die for America; technically, they died for the ALLIED CAUSE. You know, our alliance with those faggy European countries, who were the ones who were really in Hitler's path, and who really benefitted from the Americans helping them kick the Nazis out - as did the people who were finally liberated from Nazi camps. So in a sense, Americans were kinda dying for the benefit of frogs, limeys, gypsies, and Jews. (Unless of course your grandfather was one of the rich conservatives who supported Hitler - than maybe he was rooting for the Nazi flag...or maybe staying "neutral" so that he could make money selling stuff to either side. Just sayin'.)
As for your father, what, exactly, do you think he watched people die for in Vietnam? The "American flag"? What does that mean, exactly? You might want to do a little research on why we were in Vietnam, and then re-evaluate how much he was helping Americans by being there. Just sayin'.
And people wonder why there is a problem with bullying among children--they learned it from people like this email writer. Bellicose, uncivilized, misinformed and so very proud of themselves.

Sounds like all his ancestors were draft dodgers.
The Texas flag story is a wild rumor.
The "flag pin" story is also distorted. Note: Anyone at my high school wearing any bandanna would have been suspended -- they were considered "gang colors." But they've filed a federal suit anyway; nothing more American than that!
As for "just move here legally," here's a handy chart to guide you! I'm sure you'll find it easy!
Anon 3 is right on the money too.
If your great great grandfather fought for the CSA, he fought for the Confederate flag and was either a traitor to the United States or served in a foreign military and bore arms against the American flag.
No real room to throw stones there.
Yeah, I don't honor the Confederates at all.
You guys fought for the wrong side. The fact that you can't admit it means you'll continue to wallow in your sty, even after 145 years.
And the billionaires play that sullen resentment like a violin, knowing you can't resist it.

This anti-Mexico blather is so silly. I grew up in San Diego. As part of living in San Diego we would do things in school like: learn about Mexico, the same way people in Buffalo might learn about Canada or someone in Chicago might learn about Poland. Pulaski Day? Teason!
Its pretty sad when kids feel the need to rip down Mexican flags or the like. If you want to be Patriotic, fine, but maybe the kids should think through whether they are being patriotic or just racist assholes. Sadly, its more the latter these days than the former.
My German family ancestors immigrated to the USA sometime in the late 17th century to farm in Pennsylvania. My great-grandparents, grandparents & my parents grew up speaking mostly GERMAN. My mom had to learn English in school in the 1930s.
My parents had numerous friends of various eastern european origins, who grew up speaking Polish, Hungarian, Ukranian, etc.
I do recall growing up in the 50s & 60s when there used to be Polish jokes that mocked and made fun of Poles, but back then the USA was more civilized. There weren't such profoundly ignorant bullying ranting tirades like this.
Pathetic, typical, and no doubt the ass-clowns who send these out & read them with unbridled joyousness whilst they revel in their nasty brain-dead xenophobic racist shit, all "faithfully" go to church on Sunday feeling all self-righteously pious and holy because they're white & proud of it(no offense to those of religious faith who don't behave this way).
Lying, ignorant, shallow, stupid, hypocritical racist doucehbags.
Hey: the wanker who sent this out forgot something:
Merry Christmas! Peace on Earth, but NO good will to anyone except white racist assholes like me....
Just saying.
"None of them died for the Mexican Flag. Everyone died for the U.S. flag."
Shit, you got screwed man. I bought mine at a dollar store for like 3 dollars.
It had a tag that said made in China
