Fw: These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read

These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read:
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3, The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
5. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

So the best five sentences I'll ever read boil down to, "Let the poor stay poor and the rich stay rich"?

How very strange, then, that 40 billionaires have joined the Gates/Buffett pledge to give away half their wealth.

Wow... just: wow. Sometimes I want to stop coming here bc it's so digusting to witness unbridled greed and racism. OTOH, now I have absolute proof at the propoganda pushed at conservatives which basically says:

Welfare (in the form of obscene tax cuts) for insanely wealthy is GREAT.

Any sort of assistance to the down and out is off the table.

Got it. Disgusting as usual, but note how well this is written by one of the billionaire Koch brothers' thinktanks, no doubt.

"You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

What a bunch of bull sh*t. By upping taxes for zillionaires, the nation can provide tax cuts for small business more readily. And the small business owners may be able to *increase* their wealth.

One example; there are others.

All this is saying is: only the super wealthy top 1% are "permitted" to increase their wealth. They got theirs, the rest of you can eat sh*t and die.

This rightwing thinktank PR flack may win the George Orwell Big Brother is watching and telling you what to think Award. Pretty over the top, even for the Koch brothers.

Are the billionaires getting scared? Is that possible?

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.

Why did we ever overthrow monarchy? It was such a terrific system!

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

Damn straight. All those cripples, retards, orphans and people too old to pull their own weight need to just DIE already, instead of expecting people who can work to take care of them!

3, The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

Of course, what you got in the first place you got via the help of the government (and all of its hateful, taxpayer-funded infrastructure, research, workforce education, defense, and law enforcement), but who cares?

4. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Finally, I agree. The poor should stop supporting the rich, already.

5. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

Depends on how you define wealth. Jesus of Nazareth would probably disagree - as would the Buddah and who know show many other religious figures - but who the hell listens to them?

Which is like Urg the caveman saying "You no can has our fire! Then our fire smaller and we have nothing to cook with."
