I am looking for one of these coffee mugs, so if you know this girl tell her I want to talk to her.

Negotiating with Obama is like playing chess with a pigeon….
the pigeon knocks over all the pieces, shits on the board and
then struts around like it won the game.

Actually, negotiating with Barack Obama usually works like this:

1. You ask for something.
2. He says "OK."
3. You get it, and it becomes law.
4. You complain that the resulting legislation is Socialist, that the White House rammed it down your throat without consulting with you and that the President is partisan, divisive, and refuses to negotiate.

Agree with CharlieE. This is just pure drivel propaganda sent forth by the Kochs or similar. Part of Divide & Conquer the dumbed down 99%.

Anyway, today's Obama is the not really dumb, but not the dastardly eleventy-dimensional chess player out to "get" everyone. Rather, today's rightwing version of Obama is that, somehow, he doesn't "play fair." And, of course, this rightwing version of Obama portrays him as Uppity.

My Q: who in politics ever "plays fair"??

"Let's negotiate with Obama in good faith", said no GOP congressman ever.

So, just so I'm clear, "we" are the pigeon in this analogy, right?

Six years into the Obama Admin and conservatives are still being carefully taught by the 1% to whine and cry because their "Team" didn't win. Wish they'd wake up & stop allowing themselves to be played like this.

Get the quote right, thief.

“Arguing with creationists is a bit like trying to play chess with a pigeon. It doesn’t matter how good of a chess player you are; it walks around the board knocking over the pieces and pooping on the board and then sticks its chest out and struts as if it has won something.” - J.D. Weitzenhoffer, Amazon.com review, March 2005
