Fw: Fwd: Very good observation about a "simple sign"

Very good observation about a "simple sign" being shown:

Subject:   Storming the Barricades in Washington
I have worked in the government on and off for 40 years. During that time I became quite familiar with requisitions, bidding, awarding contracts etc. It is a time consuming process with bean-counters and pencil-necked bureaucrats every step of the way. The simplest requesttakes months.. not days or hours.
Now follow me please.. let it sink in of what it takes...... In less than 8 hours of the shutdown, miraculously, professionally printed 3X4 foot signs appeared all over the country in the tens of thousandssaying this [park, facility, etc. with custom logos for EACH parks name on it] was closed due to government shutdown.. let THAT sink in...
There has not been a government shutdown in 17 years. These signs were designed, specifications were determined, signs were then requisitioned, bids were posted and vetted, government contracts were awarded...... in 8 HOURS!!
The materials were then ordered and the signs manufactured then distributed by U. S. Mails or freight companies.. the fastest they could possibly have had them would be over-night...... ALL of this in EIGHT HOURS!!!!

Something as simple as a sign PROVES This shutdown was orchestrated and planned well in advance at least 6-8 month ago.
Millions of tax dollars were appropriated and spent in this process.... in 8 hours
There is a paper trail a mile long leading directly to the White House.. Like that's a big surprise...

However, something as simple as a freshly painted sign being made AND SHOWN in just a few hours raises suspicion... it seems like a simple overlook to everyone else, but after 40 years of Government work I knew the TRUTH was right there driven into the ground, or posted at the Main gate. Let me remind you, 10's of THOUSANDS were made! With the Parks names on them!! Common sense must kick in at some point. At LEAST 6 to 8 months ago.

It sure was. By Republicans. They planned this for months and have admitted so on multiple occasions.

So here we have a right wing forward that actually gets the basic facts correct, yet is still too blinded by hatred of the President or anything non-wingnut to connect the final dot and realize that the people they really should be mad at are in their own party.

Unlike the Tea Party they at least know how to use spell check.

It's not like we had 8 hours notice before the shutdown. It was brewing for weeks. Why, it's almost like the government was anticipating a crisis and planning a contingency in the weeks preceeding the shutdown. I know this comes as a surprise to the GOP (what with the response to Katrina and all), but come on! This is Occham's Razor at work.

Where's the proof of all of these "professionally designed" signs with Park Logos 'n such being ready to go on the first day of the Shut Down? And that they were all manufactured in one place and then sent out across the country by freight or whatever?

Where's the proof that they cost "millions" of Dollars? Where's the proof of "tens of thousands" of signs being created and deployed?

Why is this so shocking when the Republicans, and especially the Tea Party, had been promising to shut down the govt for more than 6 to 8 months??

Duly noted that this rightwing think tank not uses stupid colored fonts when "creating" their lying propoganda, but also sends out a big sucking *distration* from how useless, senseless & basically harmful this Republican/Tea Party-led Shut Down has been for our nation, for our country's economy, for citizens negatively affected by the shut-down, and so on.

WITNESS: how the rightwing think tank *immediately* gins up a distraction about SIGNS, no less. And then points at Obama.

The Williamsburg Accord says the shutdown strategy had been brewing since January.

Funny!! Here's someone (clearly made up, but I digress) who remains "Anonymous" (how convenient) but claims to have worked for the [insert insulting adjective here] government on & off for over 40 years!

I thought rightwingers hated any & all govt workers, so why is this fairy tale "person" supposed to be believed?

Typical rightwing cognitive dissonance + lies.

This email was obviously well planned, what with all the colorful fonts, exclamation points and underlining. I tried to click on some of the underlining-expecting a link to one of the tens of thousands of signs they are ranting about, but there were no links. No, not a single link to a sign is included? I did see some signs about park and monument closures elsewhere, but they were mostly what you could run off on any copy machine. But if there were logo signs --have so many people really not been to Kinkos or FastSigns to see the great variety of signs that can be made in a couple of hours? This is not 1960!

Shorter Sign Simpleton:

Let's pretend it's super expensive & takes months of planning to create a few signs.
