Subject: Fwd: Putin's speech

Putin’s Speech on Feb. 04, 2013This is one time our elected leaders should pay attention to the advice of Vladimir Putin....
How scary is that?On February 4th, 2013, Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, addressed the Duma, (Russian Parliament), and gave a speech about the tensions with minorities in Russia:"In Russia live Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law, then we advise them to go to those places where that's the state law. Russia does not need minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell 'discrimination'. We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of most minorities. When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the national interest first, observing that the minorities are not Russians.
The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a five minute standing ovation. It is a sad day when a Communist makes more sense than our President, but here it is!!!!

So now they're praising Putin. For a speech that sounds made up which doesn't sound like him and which he probably didn't give. How fucking desperate and stupid do you have to be to reimagine an evil fucker like Putin as some kind of role model?
Yea it is fake, but now we are supposed to be more like the Russian? I know we are catching up to them on the domestic spying front. Can somebody please make up their mind, is Obama a communist or not?
On the plus side, I’m glad there is a country that the right-wingers can look up too. Hey maybe you guys could move there and leave all of us alone. In addition I like it how the e-mail has a beginning quote but somehow forgot to put in an end quote.
Totally fake speech of course. Quite offensive too; I guess it's easy to write offensive crap like "primitive ways of most minorities" when you're pretending that someone else said it.
I'll admit I haven't watched a lot of C-SPAN lately, but has our Senate been trying to pass Sharia law again? Those crazy guys!
Oh, and in RW land Putin is a communist again? I'm surprised they didn't refer to Russia as the USSR.
Revealing in ways not intended.
Pat yourselves on the back, wingnuts. You've lowered the bar yet again.
hmmm.... lemme see here. So this rightwing think tank has ginned up some typically racist rightwing b.s. about minorities & Sharia Law - which is: booga booga scary scary - and attributed it to Vlad Putin.
We've seen other RWF's praising Putin, which is incredibly ironic.
And then there's the issue with Putin's NYT OpEd pubished on Sept 12 2013, where he urged USA citizens to continue opposing WAR on Syria. Duly noted that *many* rightwingers - politicians, pundits & conservative commenters - went full-tilt boogey nuts about Putin in that OpEd. How DARE Putin tell Team USA, who wears only exceptional White Hats, tell us what to do... Commie!... Infidel!... blah blah blah...
This particular piece of stinky garbage would be quite funny, if it weren't so transparently a bald-faced Lie that incites the knuckledraggers to be even more racist.
Putin's speeches are actually available in English on the Kremlin Web site. Here's the only one he gave on Feb. 4th. It has absolutely nothing to do with this e-mail, but perhaps right-wingers will find it enlightening all the same as he takes housing and utilities companies to task for predatory behavior.
This is a rewritten version of an old Australian quote (we've seen it before) -- here's TruthOrFiction on that one. A real quote, but still stupid.
