I'm trying to imagine what a Snopes article on this email would look like. Do you think they would just have one GIANT red dot for so many falsehoods, or a whole like of like 25 red dots for each individual falsehood?
The NSA monitoring our phone calls, e-mails and everything else?
Ok. Yes, I agree that THIS is a scandal, and at this time, it does land on Obama's desk.
1. Firstly, this spying has been going on for decades. I believe the NSA was started after WWII. In the '70s, the Church Committee worked to limit some of the domestic spying that occurred back in the '60s/'70s, particular under J Edgar Hoover's reign at the FBI. COINTELLPRO can be googled, and you'll see what I mean.
2. Conservatives peed in their pants to have GW Bush pass the Patriot Act, which opened the floodgates for the NSA and other Alphabets to commence their spying domestically - allegedly in the name of keeping us safe from terrorisssss!!!111!!!
3. Barack Obama DID, indeed, vote for FISA back when he was in the Senate. It's one of the big reasons why *I* never trusted him. That said, FISA was passed under GW BushCo Admin & was mainly supported by so-called "Republicans," which these dorks all thought was the greatest thing evah.
4. So, ok. Now the buck for NSA spying lands on Obama's desk, and what are conservatives doing about it? A big fat nothing, that's what. The rightwing think tank disingenuously sticks this one TRUE thing in the midst of a lot of psycho-babble, most of it b.s. and/or lies.
Why does the Tea Party want to impeach Obama? For stupid, ridiculous, nonsensical stuff, like how Obama's supposedly a SocialistMarxistCommieNazi, which he's not.
But we'll never see the Koch brothers paying for these rubes to get into a real lather about something factual, like the NSA spying.
Why not? Because the Koch brothers LIKE the NSA domestic spying, and they benefit from it.
NOTE how the propoganda works.
Low-information voters. heh
Conservatives are the lowest information voters I have ever seen.
Anyone who voted for GWB because they thought he'd be fun to have a beer with doesn't exactly flash signs of being capable of mulling the issues over.
"You mean the president wanting to kill Americans with drones
without the benefit of the law?"
Actually, that should be a scandal. Oddly enough, the Republicans don't care. Probably because it involves the government killing people, and they're always behind that.
I think the funniest entry is the "three or four" people who were going to call Obama gay, since we already have either way more than that or not that many languishing in the archives. I guess if you can't keep your lies straight, just spitball it!
