accepted and during lunch, a puff of wind blew the Pontiff's hat off, right
into the water.
It floated off about 50 feet, then the wind died down and it just
floated in place.The crew and the secret service were scrambling to launch a boat to go
get it, when Trump waved them off, saying "Never mind, boys, I'll get it."The Donald climbed over the side of the yacht, walked on the water to
the hat, picked it up, walked back on the water, climbed onto the yacht, and
handed the Pope his hat.The crew was speechless. The security team and the Pope's entourage were
speechless.No one knew what to say, not even the Pope.But that afternoon, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN all knew how to cover the
story. Their banner headlines read,"TRUMP CAN'T SWIM!"

This "joke" was making the rounds when Bush #1 was President.
Get some new material, RWD.
Truth be told, he probably can't swim. If swimming needs to be done, he'll hire someone to do it...
...and then refuse to pay them, citing "shoddy work."
Given that Pope Francis just chided Trump for his stand on Climate Change and wanting to reverse our agreements on it, I doubt that the Pope would go anywhere with Trump.
This is ancient history and never was that funny to begin with; just like RWD.
No, it's actually pretty lame shot at bi-partisan humor.
Aimed at its target audience of 'The Reader's Digest' reading hard-right conservative reactionaries, it'll surely jostle them awake for a few minutes. To that end, it "works".
Over the years, I've noticed the above mentioned group is always good at recycling already long overly stale jokes and presenting them as though they were all-time zingers.
I've seen funnier tumors.
It's also hilarious (and by hilarious I mean predictable) that RWD, who loves to wear his religion on his sleeve, can't keep from confusing his political heroes with his Jesus.
While it is "Reader's Digest humor," I guess I have to give this old saw a teeny tiny bit of credit for not being overly rude, obnoxious, bigoted, racist, homophobic, xenophobic and sexist. A step up for RWD.
