No one is rioting now, so why the comparison?

Also, you don't have to riot when you have Republicans in the Senate who are willing to block anything resembling progress.

Republican voters knew Obama wouldn't get anything done, so why riot?

The Game Show Host, on the other hand, will likely hurt us all a lot, and that includes the idiots who voted for him.

There's no rioting now, but this is somewhat disingenuous. It's just that it took the Koch Brothers a few months to astroturf the Tea Baggers (their original name) and pay to bus them in for what they called demonstrations. And don't forget all the nastiness and shrieking and shouting at Town Halls in the summer of 2009 demanding to have "their country back."

If Democratic voters, or Occupy Wall Street, demonstrate, the rightwing labels it as a riot. If Tea Baggers demonstrate, they are exercising their First Amendment rights (which is accurate, even if they've been organized by Oligarchs to do it).

Hypocritical? What else is new?

Republicans should really just get used to having lots of protests over the next four years. I figure for every rally in which Trump used racism and scapegoating against any group, the people now owe him a protest. And then there is the ridiculous right wing wish list of hate that will surely elicit protest: Muslim registry, laws allowing protesters to be prosecuted as terrorists, stop and frisk, immigration checks, prosecution of Hillary, the list is endless. Then after about 2 or 3 years we can probably expect all those rust belters who voted to get their jobs back will begin to see that Trump suddenly finds that "the situation is very complicated."

Oh, I get it now:

Protesting the ACA with big posters of Obama having dressed like an African Witch Doctor and a bone though his nose with a bunch of Soviet Hammer and sickle symbols, while not understanding that the ACA benefits private insurance = Patriotic.

Protesting the election of a President-elect that lost the popular vote, made all sorts of sexists comments, wants to deport people based upon their religion, has called Mexicans rapists and murders, advocated a trade war with China, advocated using nuclear weapons in conflicts, advocated actual war crimes, has to the best of everyone's knowledge not paid taxes in the past 15+ years, declared bankruptcy 4 times, and given hardly any concrete ideas on how he will run anything = Whining

Teabaggers also held quite a few demonstrations where the Koch brothers paid Toby's them in. There were a couple of big ones in Wash DC, as well as many smaller ones in various cities & towns. There were quite a few teabagger demos in my town. They always got good press & the cops didn't hassle them. Funny how that works. IOKIYAR or teabagger.
