We have no troops defending our country, as our country isn't under attack and hasn't been for more than 200 years.
Similarly, our freedoms aren't under attack.
You'd think others might have noticed this...

Really? Better than decent pay or adequate healthcare after they get out of the service?
No wonder the VA is underfunded. RWD is OK with paying for the war, but he apparently believes God will take care of the vets.
All the enlisted personnel & Vets are gonna get from RWD are "thoughts & prayers" and meaningless sentimental crap like this, plus ye olde "Pass it on!!!1!"
RWD really doesn't give a shit what happens to the military or vets, as RWD has made it obvious that he's not paying for those lousy lazy freeloaders.

Technically it's only been 71 years since the last time we were actually attacked (Pearl Harbor) but the fact that RWDs keep putting this out is somewhat humorous. I have respect for the military and those that offer their service but unlike RWD I think they should be better taken care of after the fact. I think the immortal George Carlin said it best.

Pearl Harbor was in a U.S. territory, rather than part of the country proper. Besides, the point of the attack was to hit a naval base, rather than to attack the country.
We have bases in Japan and elsewhere, but I doubt we'd regard an attack on one of our foreign bases in the same way as we'd regard an attack on Chicago. We certainly didn't react after the Beirut bombing as though the country had been attacked.
I wonder if Republicans would all rush to enlist if some foreign power were to attack the Northern Mariana Islands or Guam today...

Fair point. And as to whether Republicans would rush to enlist if the Marianas or Guam were attacked, I think we all know the answer to that one. BUT, you can bet your ass they'd be willing to send others to take care of it.

Boy RWD really dug around to find every single sentimental gif and phrase to just how patriotic-y he is. Support the troops in a meaninful way? Not so much.
