The Democrats have been surprisingly honest about our healthcare, even though they passed a healthcare bill that was written by a Republican think tank.
It's the Republicans who have been dishonest, writing a bill, insisting that only that bill would do, and then making up a bunch of lies about it once the black guy signed it into law.
Remember - when Death Panels become reality, they'll come from Republicans and they'll consider them to be a feature.

Bingo. The most condensed and concise summation on the issue I've seen.
This is the same reason conservatives ( of both parties ) are for cheap-labor, race-to-the-bottom economic policies that put downward pressure on wages: They fear a majority population that is economically nourished and relatively secure. They want a permanent and desperate underclass too busy just running a treadmill just to stay alive to organize and put up any opposition to the plutocrats.
