Not only was she not appointed 'assistant director', she wasn't 'appointed' at all. She applied for and got a job as a policy wonk.

Sort of OT but I was watching the events in Dallas unfold (since I live there) and it was interesting that there were 20 Open-Carry guys there acting like they were all the shit until the bullets started flying then they ran just like the rest of the people. Probably, the smartest thing they did but I love how in every conversation they're always touting all the Rambo shit they would do if ever they were in an active-shooter scenario.
