In Louisiana, this (now) single mother with 9 children would receive $512/month with a lifetime limit of collecting this for 5 years. (reference: http://www.dss.state.la.us/index.cfm?md=pagebuilder&tmp=home&pid=139) She'd be able to get another $500/mo roughly in food stamps and probably get some housing assistance as well. Now as far as Survivor Benefits from Social Security for the children, it depends on whether or not Larmondo had a regular job and paid into Social Security for at least 18 months. If he did, then they'll qualify for benefits. If not, no soup for the kids. Being generous and saying Larmondo spent some time workin' at McDonald's to get his 18 months in.. his partner may be able to collect the one time payment of $255 for his death and 7 of the kids would be eligible for continuing payments until 18. Those payments would be kind of small though, a total of less than $500/mo. combined.
There is an obituary for Larmondo Allen, but it is from 2004, so I guess this is a slow nooz day?

2. The financial issues the USA may or may not be experiencing have almost nothing to do with clearly falsified stories about supposed "welfare cheats."

So-called "entitlement" spending is what's allegedly "breaking" the US budget, but of course, one cannot be a racist when pointing out the wealth transfer to the upper .01%, who are mostly all white.
In my prior post, I left out the "not" in between the words "is" and "what's" in the last sentence. Welfare is NOT breaking the budget.

Your average Republican doesn't earn $100,000 per year; if not working pays more than working, how stupid do you have to be to work?
The 2004 obituary says that Mr. Allen as an "entrepreneur." From that, a cacophony of rightwing racist sites accuse Mr. Allen of collecting a ton of welfare. If you read the obituary, there's no indication of that happening.
So just the usual rightwing racist complaining about something that they made up. Based mainly because the names of Mr. Allen's kids, spouse, parents and siblings all have AA names.
