Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Remington 30.06 right in the doorway. I left 6 shells beside it, then left it alone and went about my business.
While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the neighbor boy across the street mowed the yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign near the front of our house.
After about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting there, right where I had left it. It hadn't moved itself outside. It certainly hadn't killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had been presented to do so.
In fact, it hadn't even loaded itself.
Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the media hype about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people.
Either the media is wrong or I'm in possession of the laziest gun in the world.
Well, I'm off to check on my spoons. I hear they're making people fat.
The United States is 3rd in Murders throughout the World.
But if you take out Chicago , Detroit , Washington DC and New Orleans , the United States is 4th from the bottom for Murders.
These 4 Cities also have the toughest Gun Control Laws in the United States . ALL 4 are controlled by Democrats.
It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data - right?

Newsflash wingnut: It's not the gun I'm worried about. It's the gun in the hands of a jackass like yourself.
Oh FFS. Even if the statistics are correct which more than likely they're not, the statement is too ambiguous. Is the ranking based on total number of murders or murder rate (that would be murders per capita RWD. There are also mitigating factors like neighboring state laws. You can be out of Chicago and into Indiana where the laws are much more lax I would bet. It's interesting there is no link to any supporting documentation as to where these numbers came from. Even beyond that, you fucks keep forgetting that correlation does not imply causation. Simple answers are great for simpletons. This is basically equivalent to comparing gas prices between Obama taking office in 2009 and what they are now. I assure you I'm no Obama fan but I have plenty of valid reasons for my position on him rather than having to use RWD forwarded bullshit.
"It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data - right?"
Except you haven't presented any data.

Thank you for reminding us that gun control works best at the national, rather than municipal, level.
Geez. Amongst the daily sh*tpile of RWFs, this is among one of the dumbest I've seen at least in a while.
So some dumbass cracker claims he leaves an unloaded gun inside his ajar door and that proves... ??? that this dumbass cracker left an unloaded gun in his ajar door.
I would like to say: "How stupid can US citizens be?" But sadly, we know the answer to that: as stupid as stupid can be and then even more than you can ever imagine in your wildest nightmare... times 1million.
Whatever.
Wonder how this fairy tale would end up if the red neck's young son decided to show off the gun to his young pals; load the gun to show how Dad lovingly taught him; and then accidentally shoot one of his friends or the neighbor mowing the lawn or the mail carrier delivering the mail??
THAT is the reality of owning guns, frankly, esp in the "hands" of most rightwing, irresponsible gun nuts. This Fairy Tale may seem ever-so-clever to the hack that pooped it out, but this is the kind of witless activity that leads to gun deaths every day in this country.
Sadly, this kind of Fairy Tale also encourages the intellectually challenged wingnuts to indulge themselves in exactly this kind of unsafe & preposterous activity - to "show" their wingnut friends - which ends up badly for all concerned.
But we won't see a RWF highlighting that, now will we?
Pernicious? Check
Irresponsible? Check
Encouraging stupidity? Check
So today nobody broke into my house, and nothing bad happened to me! Checkmate, liberals!
I notice New York and Los Angeles aren't on that list. Perhaps "liberal city" and "gun control laws" are not the only factor in these (theoretical) assertions?
"Guns don't kill people - they just make it really, really easy."
