No "liberal friend" is going to ask you how to defend their family from a home invasion, because:
1. Liberals, as a group, tend to be better-educated than conservatives and therefore
2. Liberals know that home invasions are very rare and statistically unlikely.
It's Republicans who spend a fortune to arm themselves against attacks that will never come. I know a guy who is literally sitting on one million rounds of ammunition.

Not after talking to them over the past year and a half. Now I know what's wrong with them -- militant ignorance, xenophobia, and a deep fear of just about everything.
It all comes out in hate, sadly enough.

Speaking of contrivances, I'm surprised at the restraint this one showed when concocting a boogeyman for their story. "Liberal friend" is lame. He should have went big ( like they so often do ) and say something like "This Prius driving secular vegetarian liberal that doesn't like sports or believe in American exceptionalism..."
Good observations so far Charlie and delagar. I thought much the same thing. For all their chest beating bravado and "home of the brave" rhetoric, they sure are a fearful and paranoid lot.
